So I went to Lulu.com and the book was not there yet. Is it in the printing stage yet? I am going to Idaho/Montana in a few weeks and will have plenty of time to read it.
Here are some sample diagrams:

This is a off-topic but since you posted this particular diagram in this thread, I'd like to ask my question here: When you have a layout like this one, what do you do when there are no good break balls close to the rack?
The 1 and the 4 balls are less than ideal break balls due to their distance from the rack. The 2 and the 8 might be potential side pocket break balls. The 5 is a potential break ball but needs to be nudged into a better position, however, it's not clear yet how to do it.
So with a rack like this one, how does one decide now which balls should be the break ball and the key ball? How does one decide upon an action plan this early in the rack?
David, how close are you to the final edit? Please keep us updated.
Though the book is completed, there is a good chance that I will never publish it or make it available. I have my reasons for that and it is doubtful that I will change my mind about it.
The problem is that I had to close my school. I'm trying to recover from that. I have had the information posted on my website for almost 2 weeks.

World Champion Thorsten Hohmann is in the process of writing a 14.1 book. I'm not sure when it will be finished, but I would highly recommend his book.
