Dave...While I agree with you wholeheartedly, I'm offering 10-1 odds that it never happens (not showing up at all). The players are starving (most of them), and will jump at any chance for a "golden goose". When I first saw BB almost a decade ago, at the BCA trade show, I thought it was BS then. I still don't see the appeal, even after watching and playing it myself. That said, if the players could get PAID, on a regular basis, I'm all for it. I'd offer odds on that too...

Seems hypocritical for the ABP to leverage Barry, yet carry the BB flag while they flat-out rob people....stress "ROB." If you're gonna #($*# someone, just do it -- don't insult them by giving them balls to sell as payment! Can you imagine trying to flip those JUNK balls in an attempt to put food on your plate or gas in your car??? Holy @($#*ing WOW!!

BB already shit the bed, so v2.0 has like zero chance. I'm just astounded that the pros coming back into v2.0 won't stand up for those who didn't get paid for services rendered.
Larry, if you're reading this.... do the right thing and stop straight-arming people who don't have the resources to leverage you the way you're leveraging them. The ultimate end-game is those who were railroaded will organize and there are attorneys who will take that case on-the-come 100%... and you'll not only lose, but there are criminal aspects to your actions as well, not just civil.
It's checkmate in 3, you just don't see it yet. Do the right thing before you don't have the option.

johnny Archer is the man behind the dancing monkeys that are playing bonus ball. he needs to step forward and tell us why he backs Larry Chiborak after him and Nathan both lied to everybody about a million dollar payout and two years cash flow! it is a shame to see players shafted like this!

All those BB supporters that were new members on AzBilliards, they just vanished after BB did not pay the players. There was one AzB-er who's name began with a G, Golobushka, who posted non-stop about how great Bonus Ball was. His last post on this forum was August 30th, right about the same time the BB's coffers went dry.
After I lied? Im an employee Barry. I dont pay Larry's bills - I send him invoices for services rendered. All Johnny and I did was support an opportunity. Larry said the money was there, hundreds of thousands were being spent before our eyes, and until we saw otherwise, we had no reason to demand any form of escrow. Never have I applied for a job and demanded to see the company financials. This is no different.
The tournament structure simply isn't working for american pool, and the loyalties of the BB players shows just how invested they are towards some form of drastic change. Johnny and I had no hesitation putting blind trust in someone who was willing to think outside the box, and put money behind it. The 65 other players and staff were willing to do the same. Sure, the venture didn't follow what was promised, but I'm certain that almost every player would repeat the same all over again if the opportunity were to arise again.
Johnny and i may look foolish for supporting BB, but were both quite proud of standing up for what we believe in amidst such criticism. The people who run the industry don't want change, yet the players demand it. This can't happen without taking risks. I will continue to put myself under heavy criticism until significant improvements are made, as will Johnny.

Its more than hope, It's believing in something and I support both Nathan and Johnny and tbe others who are taking action that they believe lead toward improvement.
Jam dont be the middleclass uncle who discourages all of the nieces and nephews from starting a business because 30 years ago he himself had a business that was not a success. While the advice might come with good intentions the situations are seperate any the advice doesnt apply.

Mark Griffin and Greg Sullivan have NEVER, to my knowledge, NEVER missed a single payment to the players in their events. Every player was paid in full on time with no problems whatsoever. No excuses, no BS, just paid to play as implicitly agreed on.
Mike Zuglan has paid every player on time every time for 25 years, also no BS, no problems.
So in fact SOME promoters manage to run their events just fine without any payment drama whatsoever.
As far as I know Mike Janis has paid tens of thousands of players in his career and never once has there been an issue.
The APA, VNEA, BCA and ACA all pay out very spot with no issues whatsoever.
People who question the financials of their prospective employers often don't get the job or if employed they find that they don't have a job for much longer.
The more I hear about BB's actions the less positive I am about it. Making people travel to Vegas to get paid is just wrong.
Giving them product to sell instead of money is also crappy but I guess something is better than nothing.
It's truly sad that Mark has given up on doing open events. If there were two people that the players should have stood up for to insist on no conflicts then it should have been Mark and Greg. In fact Bonus Ball should have endeavored to SEND all their players to DCC/Tunica and Mark's events in full uniform and in full promotional mode. Could have rented a player's house at each event and shot a ton of footage for use throughout the year. So much that could have been done in cooperation that is simply gone now.

That sure does sound good when you are selling the dream to a bunch of people you owe money to. Promoters who actually pay their bills are limited to what is possible by the framework of resources and business climate they have to deal with in order to live up to their obligations.
Its easy to run your suck about "Change" when you have no problem firing the air rocket.
Employees don't submit invoices for payment. So you're saying you get paid in American currency, right? Are you still getting paid by Larry or are you getting paid by BB ball sets?
The existing tournament structure pays its players in cash. The reason there's push-back to change is because when someone is used to getting paid by bank transfer or opening their mailbox to get their check, being leveraged to travel across the country to pick-up a check that is likely not there is change people want to wipe their asses with.

Did Johnny get paid in-full? If so, why weren't others paid in full? Were you paid in-full? If so, why were others not paid in full? Are you and Johnny willing to buy a trunk full of BB sets for full retail value since you so staunchly believe in the dream?
That's the litmus test... if you and Johnny so heavily believe in this horsesh1t, you should have ZERO problem buying a tall stack of Bonus Ball sets from those who were forced to take them in lieu of cash.
Let me know if I can set that up. Since you're all about change, let's ex-"change" your cash payments for BB ball sets to clear out some air barrels.

BB v1.0 was dogged by technical problems during launch. I have a hunch BB v2.0 will be dogged by legal problems during launch.
How is it possible for BB to get a new ref in Ms. Tabb when it couldn't pay the old ref? Is she REALLY flying in from overseas to work for BB ball sets????????????????? REALLY?
Like I said, I think the REAL change in the immediate future will consist of a pile of certified letters and summons.

Well, if I were a ref and I learned that the previous ref was fist-$##!%ed elbow deep, I wouldn't take the job unless the contract was paid-in-full in advance. If she didn't pull that move... well... she's not as smart as she thinks. If she DID.... then why is BB raping players when they're cash rich?? That'd make them even more creepish.

If I had to guess here, I'd say that they must feel as though they have the players over a barrel and/or they are on the low end of the priority list.

I actually heard from a reputable source that they are all being given coupons for a free cue from Bill Stroud. They even get to design it themselves.
