cleary,
In all due respect, there has already been plenty of money invested in 9-Ball and 10-Ball, but that fact still hasn't advanced our sport all that much. If we are to ever appeal to the masses - that is, people who do not currently play, but might be enticed to play - then we really must change the game, and change the way it is presented. The people at Bonus Ball think they have the game and the plan that can do that. They also have the money to get it all started. Will they be able to keep it going? They will, as long as their game plan works. But even if they fail, it is their ideas, their efforts, and their money to fail with, so who is to say that they are wrong in trying it their way?
Don't get me wrong; 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball, 14.1, and 1-Pocket are all great games and their standing in the pool community is solidified. But it has not always been that way. Each of those games had to be introduced at one time, also. But there is plenty of room for more. Now is as good a time as any to introduce a new game, and from what I've seen, Bonus Ball is a great game to be bringing in.
