Fatboy said:do you really hate me that much? i will fly ou and a friend to Vegas and cover all of your costs for a 3 day 2 night stay, the only catch is you have to go to my place of business for 3 hours and see how we run the business from top to bottom, i have nothing to hide and then hear your opinion of how we conduct business, you have seen me get slammed on other message boards because its primarily people we fire posting things, we read all that stuff and none of out customers know all the button to push, PM me you email address and I'll be glad to send you all the related marketing materials that clearly disclose ALL everything we do for our customers before they spend a penny.
If I ws up to bad things I wouldnt own property that could be seized by the Govt for engaging in dectptive trade practices, I wouldnt have been in business for 12 years doing the same thing from the same office 4 blocks from Consumer Affairs, I would really like you to come to Vegas and for you to see whats really going on. You can then come to educated conclusion and have a couple days in Vegas on me(I wont cover what you gamble-if you gamble)
concerning my other posts just dont read them, and quoting me is just another one of my posts, i'm sorry you dont like my style of writing. I'm sorry I gave a pool player $1000 out of my pocket for something he did for me 20 yers ago-ask Dead Money(i think), I'm sorry i donated $3000 to Gradys ring game, I'm sorry I added $1000 to the tournment last week in LA, And flew a player out here and wouldnt let him pay me a cut or his air plaine ticket.
please come visit, you pick the hotel, be reasonable, something like theMirage, Venitation, treasure island, Palms etc. its all on me. let me know and i'll make all the arrangments, and I trust that you will come to the offices and see how it all works, and if you dont come i'll still pick up the tab, but i know your a honerable guy and trust you, to come over for about 3 hours.
fair enough?
i dont duck anyone except josh cause i cant win.
Seems reasonable and generous to me. Go check it out.
Over the years, it has always amazed me the number of people, including family members, who have condemned and criticized me for being a "pool player" without having the slightest clue about the game and the people who are involved with it.
I guess the worst was my brother and his wife because that hits pretty close to home, literally. Looking down their noses at me got real old after a while.
Ever afternoon after work, I would meet the same 4-6 guys for a golf game on the snooker table. One day, as I pulled up to the poolroom, I happen to glance over and see my brother coming out of the office building next to the poolroom. I got out and asked him to come over and have a Coke and catch up on our lives.
At first he was hesistant but finally agreed. When we got to the snooker table, most of my friends were there and I introduced my brother. He met Mitch, a regional sales manager with Johnson & Johnson, Ron, head of the psychology department at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Mark, head of marketing for Sysco,Wayne, a professional horse trainer and Stan, a retired tax attorney.
He sat and talked to everyone for about and hour and half. When he left, I walked him outside and he said he had no idea that these were the type of people I hung out with.
He said, "I thought all you hung around with were a bunch of bums."
I said, "They are a bunch of bums! They just happen to be very well educated and make a lot of money." LOL
If I have time while I'm in Vegas in May and get an invite (hint, hint), I'd like to see Fatboy's operation just out of curiousity.
Take him up on his offer. The worst that can happen is, god forbid, you might learn something and find out he's a pretty decent guy.
And again: Fatboy, where is a great place in Vegas to get steak and lobster? I ain't looking for a free meal. I and my lady friends are tired of the gristle and prawns they call lobsters on the Strip. PM me if you like. LOL
