Chris Bartrum

I'm also puzzled by the negative comments against Chris in the other thread. How many players have the nerve to go up against a top player for that kind of cash? Not many. I believe these kinds of matches will seperate Chris from the rest in the future, his game will only get better because of it.

Wow! That was a sorry post. I wish I had half the game as the "Smooth Criminal". I hope to see Chris try it again. People like Chris keep the pool world interesting.

BAYAWAK........what a loser of a post.....i am sure chris will gamble with you....put your ha ha ha were your a$$ a$$ a$$ is....and for chris getting up there and playing props to you....i am pretty sure there arent many people in the world that would be willing to get up there and play busta anyway...so for you bayawak:duck: because it will be coming.....mickey carroll

Rubyron and Tattoo,
That's how he usually posts. He seems to really get off on knocking American players. 99.9% of us on the forums always give credit & respect to foreign players, no matter the country. Most of the great Filipino members here aways show much class and respect. Think of how AnitoKid and Blowfish are top notch posters. But this guy here is just downright disrespectful.

Rubyron, I have never given red rep out ever. But whenever my finger hovers over the much balleyhooed red rep button, it's most likely on one of BW's rantings or ramblings.

I really didnt see much negative !

I might have missed something but i really didn't see much negative comments against Chris...He has a lot of heart & game...probally too much off one since he said he before the derby that he wanted to make a game with a non pinoy...and when it comes down to it..the 1st action he gets is with a top pinoy...i give him props for even messing with the best players in the world..he knows he's the underdog against the pinoys but they are the only ones he can get action with.

Kudos to Chris

He had a bit of tough luck against one of the best in the world. I'd be so lucky as to even have enough game or cash to have been a part of that match! I'm already feeling bad for the whoopings Chris will be handing to his next opponents.

Its kind of funny

When people are watching some get beat. Some peeps will say "what was this guy thinking","he had no chance""he is giving money away".

Really anything can happen on a given day and the opposite might occur the next day.

To che"

Chris did not play his best. Showed good class and accepted his lumps. Busty played great and it just seemed to me that Chris was getting the tougher layouts. When you struggle nothing goes right. I think the spot was fair and on another day the result might be different.

Chris gets a 10 for heart, character and class. The nits who like playing with the nuts for $10 can be ignored as always.

Well put.

I quit watching after the 2nd set when Busty slammed and combo and then the 10 ball on the break. Good luck on your next match Chris.

I've seen Chris Bartram in person at the Galveston World Classic. That week he was shooting as good or better than a LOT of players with more recognition than he has. I've also seen him several times on live streams. He got game!!! Like one poster stated, on any given day he could beat the best. Heck, he won the 2009 Texas Open (I think it was that tourney) and did beat some of the areas best, so he can "run with the big dogs"!

Shame on anybody on this forum for dissing him!!! He's an active poster with a lot of wit coupled with pool intelligence. We need more people like him on this forum!!!

Maniac

It's always easy for a spectator to bash a player from behind a keyboard or from their seats, because as long as 'they' aren't playing, 'they' aren't missing.
I think Chris showed a lot of heart and a lot of gamble, stepping up to a player of Bustamante's caliber.
As far as the haters...why don't you step up?

This post really sucks.

I'm finding it hard to not check the "I disapprove" box.

At least he played him and took his lumps...I bet he learned from this...

This post from Bayawak is stupid....I had to give him RED rep for such a stupid post

I think many were referring to comments posted in the chat as the match went on. Gotta admit, I thought there were some lame ones. Maybe it was getting drunk out for some of the chat people?

Ditto.....

Seriously....everyone loses at some time or another. Step up to the plate and see if you can match up, if you dont win, take your loss and go home, think about what you could have done better, and do that next time.

Before I quit playing in '94, I played some guys that I didnt have a chance at winning against. I took my loss, paid my money, and I learned from that loss...next time, I was much smarter in my game. I may have lost 2500.00 to 1 guy over the course of 14hrs, but the lessons I learned during that 14 hrs, made me that much better of a player....I went out and won my money back from other players. When I got back to playing the guy I lost the 2500 to, yea, he beat me, but I sure had him worried this time.....and he told me after that he was actually concerned that I might beat him....

Take your losses and learn from them, you will be that much better of a pool player down the road!

This post really sucks.

I'm finding it hard to not check the "I disapprove" box.

Agreed,

I'm not sure how a non-player can be so disrespectful towards someone of Chris' caliber because he lost to one of the greats in our game.

Perhaps he should step in the box, rather than hide behind his heroes. It's not like the players aren't accessible.

I haven't read the negative posts and probably will not. The example post from a Pinoy is simply a fan gloating. It means nothing.

How anyone could talk negatively about Chris is beyond me. He doesn't bark (simply states the games he will play and with whom), he shakes hands after a match - win or lose, pays or gets paid, and always conducts himself professionally. He is what all pool players should be like.

If anyone says anything negative about Chris it would be because they bet on him and lost. I say keep betting on him, you will end up winners.

Chris, thanks for being the person and pool player you are! Rep coming your way.

Dave

Chris had a tough day in the trenches but i dont think it is going to slow him up.

I don't get involve in here on pissing matches.

But all I can say is, CB has my respect for stepping out and locking horns with the pinoys. Very few will do that.

I noticed a bunch of negative stuff posted about Chris because he lost to Busty. Chris is a loyal AZ Poster and I personally thinks he deserves a lot more respect from us!!! He certainly has mine!!!

there are two ways to look at that...

I don't know him personally.... but from what I can tell ... he's a match maker

he's not a player...

all I hear is heart.... he doesn't have heart.. heart plays even

he's made a nice living out of begging for a spot..

he's found a way to make money... he should be a handicapper... might make some change like that..

that's how beggars get by..

when is the last time Busty begged for a spot???

any good stories about Buddy Hall beggin for a spot ???

remember when Efren Begged the 7 from Earl and won 100K???

NO... because champions play even..

hustlers beg for spots to "make" a game

do you want to be the best??

or do you want to brag about beating an actual player .. while milking your spot??

we must have different definitions of HEART...

I wish Chris the best of luck.... but you never reach the top of the mountain when you spend all your time begging for a ladder...

Mr. Bartrum
You are good enough to win.. you can play... so man up and do it..

the cover is blown...

I'm a Bartrum fan..

if you are going to be known for heart.... then show some
