Cliff Joyner looking for sponsors

Oh geez, give it a break Jam. This virtual club for pool enthusiasts was formed within a virtual club for pool enthusiasts known as AZ Billiards.

Only positive posts? Many Lock Society members partake in the negative threads as well.

Don't try and come off as this little Imaginary tree house club was conceived to counter act all the negativity on AZ Billiards.

It was conceived by a person that gave himself the name of Lock and Load.
He showed up on AZ one day spreading the word of the World Famous Lock Society.

One member and supposedly another by the name of Buddy Hall. To this day, there has been no proof that Buddy Hall is actually a member.

Also, to this day, I have seen absolutely zero proof of anything that the Lock Society has done, achieved or what they actually stand for. Other than a lot of back and butt slapping.

The World Famous Lock Society. Famous, for what? World Famous, I seriously doubt it. Go to Poland, the Ukraine, the Czech
Republic, Russia and ask anyone if they have any knowledge of the Lock Society. The only locks that they know of are the ones on their doors.

Yeah, when the people are standing around the fish and chip shack in London, I doubt that the topic of conversation is in regard to the World Famous Lock Society.

Even if I had have kept the PMs that I received from people that actually play at Buffalo, the Worlds Pool Hall, I wouldn't have disclosed their names nor their messages, but trust me, at the Worlds Pool Hall, it's nothing but a huge joke.

Sorry that I had to be such a hater on this one, but you should stop pretending that it is something that it is not.
Thanks for telling it like it really is.

Sure, as long as the Unicorns Horn has little Bushka rings on it.

Those are a little more expensive to rent. You guys might have to hold a steak night
to afford it.

But considering that your tireless leader is kept so busy starting threads, slapping backs, holding charity tourneys to help out needy people, he may not have the time to rent
A Bushka Unicorn.

And I'm seriously sorry that so many of your Lock members are great guys.

They truly are and all are valuable members of AZ. Please, just stop making fools of
yourselves courtesy of Lock and Load.

I have no unicorn in this race but . . .

okay, so I want to know, this unicorn horn you speak of with the buska rings, does it have a uni-lock society joint? :grin-square:

best,
brian kc <--- meaning no disrespect to anyone, just funnin'

It is disheartening to reply to some of the posts on AzBilliards sometimes. Rather than confront somebody with their disaparaging words, it is easier to discount them and move on, but I will come to the defense of a kind man who doesn't deserve this crap.

The Lock Society, again, is a group of pool enthusiasts who enjoy the comaraderie of each member. Nothing wrong with that, even though it seems to anger a selected few on this forum.

I am not going to disclose the action down South -- the who, what, when, and where -- but I do have it from good authorities -- plural -- as well as the actual action players themselves that there are big games transpiring, to the tune of 20 to 80 large sandbags any day of the week.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Lock N Load, Lock Society, me, or anybody else who enjoys this comaraderie, I am going to continue enjoying my participation with other Lock Society members. It is supposed to be fun, nothing more and nothing less.

Now come dissect my words and see how you can rip them apart to mean something else. Come get you some.

What she said!
I'm a member of the Lock Society, and damned proud of it.
Anyway, I thought this thread was about Cliffy, wanting to play pool in Tunica.
What the hell is a matter with you people. If you haven't anything to do, other than sling shit at each other, then go somewhere and learn how to play One Pocket, or something.

C'mon Watchez, How many people bet on a racehorse? What % of them are in the racing industry?:confused:

I was responding to Ray - and I quoted him - when he chastised another poster for responding/making comments because that poster had no product to endorse with Cliffs help so why did that poster feel the need to make comments about Cliff at all. Thus Ray was stating that Cliff's intention was to gain an industry sponsor not a para mutual bettor to assist him.

Focus everyone. Focus. And then you won't be so confused.

said "TOI LOCK" 3 times and the car unlocked on it's own..I'm not sure how .....

All I know is I Locked my Keys in my Car the other day and said "TOI LOCK" 3 times and the car unlocked on it's own..I'm not sure how it happened, but I'm a believer........true story....... really..... :groucho:

Yes its a bushka ring unicorn with a uni lock horn so its easy to take off and clean. we dont rent 2nd rate unicorns around here.

If Cliff has any collateral I will loan him the $4000 he is seeking or if someone in the lock society (never heard of this before now), has collateral on Cliffs behalf then you're welcome to secure a loan that way also.

:angry::confused:
Once again, You make comments that don't make since . Putting Cliff down while praising how much you have learned from him. If I were Cliff I would personally thank you . I bet you tell your friends in China how good of buddies you are with Cliff too.
For someone that markets product for your business I bet you would sell a lot more of your made in China cases in the U. S. if you didn't speak at all.
You look like the south end of a north bound horse , Add some $ to some tournaments if you would like to promote pool and quit putting people down on there luck further down with your comments.

I am going to tell you something else. I don't have the ability to stand around and tell people how to play this game and get paid $50-100 or more per hour. Cliff does.

I don't want to hear any BS about being down on luck when I have to make payroll every 30 days and if something goes wrong I lose thousands in money from lost time and productivity. I don't make what Cliff COULD be making.

Kelly Fisher booked lessons all over Charlotte for $75 an hour and had dozens of repeat students. In fact she still travels back to Charlotte to give lessons periodically.

I am not going to divulge how many hours a week she spent giving lessons but for sure it was a decent amount.

So the same thing that applies to every other professional player applies to Cliff Joyner who probably isn't even reading this thread anyway.

You know who is down on his luck? Jarrod Clowery the player from Boston who lost his source of income and has shrapnel inside him from the Boston bombing. There is a guy who is down on his luck. Don't think about coming at me about people down on their "luck".

You want to help Cliff then hook him up with a string of lesson where he gets to stand there and talk about how to play the game he is one of the best at. Arrange some exhibitions for him. How about you do that and get him working in the trade he has spent a lifetime doing?

Yeah, I didn't think so. Like Buddy said, when it's time to make the rubber meet the road and get to work most players are nowhere to be found.

I actually like the Focus. My brother had one and loved it. He ended up trading it in for a Taurus. Every time we see a Focus on the road, we both remember how much fun it was to drive.

I'm actually thinking about getting rid of my gas-guzzling Volvo and buying a car like a Focus in 7-ball red. :D

???????

The Lock Society was created to be a virtual club for pool enthusiasts, nothing more and nothing less.

It is creation of AzBilliards member Lock N Lock. His goal was to bring pool aficionados together and form a camaraderie where people can chat with each other about pool-related topics in a positive manner. The sky is the limit on what is said, but the recurrent theme is upbeat and positive. No time for the negativity in the Lock Society. There's plenty of other places on the Internet to engage in topics that contain negative thoughts. The Lock Society reserves its space for positive thinking.

There are some who oppose the Lock Society, and that's okay. Those who do enjoy the Lock Society take a different view. To each, their own!

Jam..

Let me see if I understand this Lock Society.

They stick their heads in the sand until something positive comes to their attention.

Negative thoughts and they stick their heads back in the sand.

How is pool ever going to get the respect of people if the pool community does'nt air out their differences and we make an attempt to move forward.

What we have done so far has not worked to the level that we would all like to see pool acheive.

In every form of business they have discussions about the best way to better their business.

Do you think that all the discussions are only about the positive?

Don

Of course, I welcome a constructive colloquy about pool: the good, the bad, and the ugly. But there is a way that one can express their thoughts without targeting other members by, say, calling them vulgar names, tag-teaming with their bully buddies to attack en masse, signing up with multiple identities to attack to preserve one's identity, twist words written to mean something quite different than the member's intent, and mock someone for trying to just have fun on this pool forum.

I understand we all have opinions, strong opinions, about various pool-related matters, but it doesn't cost anything to be nice to another member. One should be able to express themselves without resorting to vulgarity, bullying, and targeting others. That is all I am saying. Does this help clarify my previous post? :)

Was on his own???

Says it all...

PS.. Sure hope his backers were paid first.

Was on his own..That's why he played it all back...People like Cliff get off on the action..not the money that's won by it....Seen it too many times....it's like a pitbull thinking he can beat a grizzly bear...Gotta love the heart even tho common sense knows the real time of the clock.[/QUOTE

Something tells me that Mr Joyner probably has a few outstanding debts to some backers.

I may be wrong but not likely.

Seems to me Mr. Joyner gets of on the action at the expense of others.
Is there enough money that Mr. Joyner can win and be satisfied?

If not he will always be asking for a stakehorse or sponsor because the "vig" gets us all over time.

Don

A major confounder when one looks at the psychosocial development is that not everybody can play contact sports, so they must be relegated to relatively sedentary activities, like posting about Cliff on AzBilliards Discussion Forum.

Most also don't have the "balls" to play video games professionally.

I always get a chuckle out of comments like this. No offense intended, but do you realize there are hackers who manipulate these kinds of online poker (etc.) sites and walk away with money that isn't tracked or taxed? :)

Interesting Thought

Poolmouse.

Them bad internet hackers. They should have their hands slapped.

Because we all know that after a big score playing pool in some late night action the first thing the winner does is report his winnings to the IRS. :grin-square:

Don

Damn, none of you Cliff supporters want to put up any assets so Cliff can play in Tunica?
I can't believe it.
