Congratulations Donnie Mills!

really outstanding Donnie! Whats amazing to me is that you work a job, play pro level pool and work out with weights heavy enough that you look like Donny Schwarzenegger at the table. You are some kind of freak of nature man, you are accomplishing things that I never thought could be mixed together.

Donny, I usually don't enjoy watching 9 ball for any length of time, but you had me glued to the computer.

Your play was OUTSTANDING, you displayed the HEART OF A LION and IMHO outplayed em both at the end and fell victim to some terrible rolls.

Your shotmaking was amazing and firing in those balls to get your angles without a sign of faint heart. What a showing, what a player!

Congratulations! If you don't have a nickname yet, I'll vote for Donny the "Steel Mill" Mills!

I didnt get the chance to keep up with much of the open. I know from reading this forum that Donnie lost to Mika, but who was his other loss to? I cant get the page to pull up from the online brackets.

His other loss was to Souquet for the hot seat.

I had the distinct pleasure of being able to attend the US Open every day. I watched as Donnie simply put on a clinic!! He was awesome from start to finish.

His thrashing of the world 10-ball champion Darren Appleton was a resounding announcement that he was there to win the whole thing, and not just make up the numbers. It was awesome to watch.

Having watched his two heartbreaking losses after playing so well, was definitely a sad moment, but overall a great tournament. He was done in by a couple of bad break shots. A dry break against Ralph on the hill and a scratch on the hill against Mika.

Donnie must have been sick to his stomach watching the finals. Seeing what those guys were missing and how they were getting out of position, but watch out for him next year!

Congratulations Donnie!!

Watching Donnie lose those two matches on the hill was hard for me to stomach. He was playing stronger than both the finalists.
Everyone was cheering for Donnie and it was great to see him play so well.

Donnie, you earned a ton of new fans with your solid play and fearless approach.

IMOP Donnie Mills is the next great super star! I had never seen or heard much of Mr. Mills b4 the open. I was very impressed. He seemed to be the only player there that could or was reading the racks. He probably pocketed a ball 85% of the breaks.

Congrats on a great open, your star is definetly on the raise.

Great shooting Donny, you played some unbelievable pool this week. I knew you were a great player but I have to admit I underestimated how well you are playing right now. I wish you would find it in you to make the drive to Derby this year.

GL to you in your match with Shane.

Thank you everyone for the nice compliments! I'm still devastated about losing those last two matches and the way I lost the last two. I'm sure I'll be over it soon.

Are you goint to Derby? First round on me if you do. Bartram has already committed to one night of drinking.

Donny-

You're a hell of a good player. Hopefully your performance shut up those who think you can't hang with the best.

I like your style-
Dave

Donnie, you played like a champ and have my respect. Your two losses could have gone the other way if the Pool gods were on your side. I think you need to work on your break

Actually, I'll be in playing in Tampa from Nov 5 to 8 and could use a lesson on how to soft break in 9 ball...

Eric >told Donnie he can forget about getting a spot from the top players now

U.s. Mosconi cup team

Donnie,
You may get tired of reading all of the accolades but you really gave America something to be proud of.

It would be great to see you on the Mosconi Cup Team. Your PERFORMANCE dictates that it would be the smart thing for MatchRoom Sports to do. Your presence would certainly add some spice to the United States Mosconi Cup Team and help the American Team to a victory.

That's a lot of weight to put on your young shoulders but you have already shown that you can bear an awful lot of weight.

Great Shooting and Better Shooting in the future.

Best Regards,
JoeyA
