Curious : Are there many Christians players on Az???

Count me in as one of the Christians that tries my best, but has some faults. Heck, nobody's perfect, right ;) ??? I'd like to think my good qualities far outweigh my imperfections. I hope so.

Nope. I checked with Jehovah's Witnesses and you're not
on their list. Sorry.

Yes, but not sure what it has to do with playing.

So I can decide where to place thread, are we going to talk about religion or pool?

Mark,

Here is a link to the CPPA (Christian Pool Players Association)

http://www.christianpoolplayers.com/

CPPA has two common denominators:
1. Jesus as SAVIOR and LORD
2. Pool/billiards

At many tournaments there are bible studies open to all players, and usually scheduled while matches are not in progress. I will be trying to organize a bible study and worship time in Chesapeake this year, you are more than welcome to join and participate.

Well, this is about pool and Christianity.
Sounds like it belongs on this forum. I've seen pool threads go off on tangents far worse than this. Maybe you ought to let this one ride.

In this thread, I haven't seen the non-Christians screaming for Jihad and hope they won't.

I am Christian and try to live my life in a temperate way. I fail every day, but I never give up trying. :D I gave my life to God at age 17.

I try to see the humor in the human condition and am pretty tolerant of others. Only when they lie to me, cheat or steal from me do I have a problem. Even then, I try to let it go. I have a harder time when I hear about murderers, child abusers and molesters, etc. :o

Pool-related - I am praying to play well when I am in a match!! Not that God really cares, of course, but it never hurts to put in a good word with the Big Guy!

Isaiah 52:15
"Kings shall shut their mouths at Him!" <~~~~~~~favorite verse.

i watch Charles Stanley every chance i get. enjoy having supper on saturday evenings during warm weather out on my deck, running the coax out there, putting my 19" TV out there, watching a pool tape to start with. then Charles Stanley (In Touch) comes on at 7:00, and i finish supper, watch him, and smoke a cigar during his message.

also just read the entire Left Behind series by Timothy LaHaye. very good material indeed!

I am from the south ....bible banging, hell and brimstone type preaching..i love the Lord and all he does for me ...although he has been slow as hell making me the greatest pool player in the world

So...now we know your real name!!!! Joseph Smith...;)

I happen to know that breakup is NOT - he is a Zoriathan. They believe that the first man and woman sprang from watermelon seeds. Needless to say he's a little sensitive about the watermelon jokes.

To make this pool related; there is a former professional men's player named George Coffey who now has his own syndicated religious show on television discussing the issues in Revelations. I've never seen the show but I hear he is quite enthusiastic about the subject.

I've been BROKEN too.....

Yes I am a Christian.........and just like at pool-----> I know I can do better....and I am always trying to improve:cool:

.

Way to go Willie! You are half right, that’s a personal best!

Actually it is cyanobacteria or blue-green algae (not watermelon seeds)

This exactly summarizes my beliefs as well. Well put.

Any Christian pool players?

Not me. I don't consider myself a pool player. ;)
