Danny Medina's fight is over

RIP Danny, you were certainly a Champion

Danny was an incredible player when he was "in gear". He was one of the few that came to Dallas to play me in the 90s and he played awesome. I wish I had that match on video, his break and shot making abilities were some of the best I had seen. We played two days straight and it was certainly a shot making clinic because we played "roll out rules". RIP Danny, you were certainly a Champion and I"m sure you're in a "Better Place".

R.I.P. Danny, now you can play with all the GREATS before you!

This is a tough time for me personally but I found this amusing.
i wish I were there to hear what he and Grady are drumming up right now.
They had some battles over the years and some knock down arguments, but later in life they got along very well and shared a mutual respect.
They craved much of the same things.

I just lost a freind this past weekend & I will mis him.

To all who will mis Danny Medina & especially his family, I empathize with the pain of your loss. I offer my sincere condolences.

May Danny Medina Rest in Peace & Serenity.

Danny, I didn't know you well, but I saw you do some amazing things I will forever hold up as an example and try to emulate. I'll miss watching you at the table, it was always a lot of fun. I hear nobody up there gets any weight, and all bets are paid, food and cocktails are free. You'll always have all my respect, you were the best. Peace to you and your family

Very sad news indeed, glad his suffering is over. My condolences to his family & friends. RIP Danny

Sad to hear. One of the first players I remember watching in awe on my first trip over to Shooters in Olathe. Danny always drew a crowd when playing. To his friends, sorry for your loss.

The first time I ever saw him was at Duffys in seattle and I thought Dan Loui was giving him pool lessons, but it was the other way. He also played one shot 3-Ball with tall bob and I dont know how many times he broke the light with the cue ball. He won there too..

Danny was for sure a great player. He had the big break and the gear of a true champion. Pool has lost another legend. My condolences to his friends and family.

Living in CO for 14 yrs (71-84) I knew Danny, and watched him play many times. I also knew enough to stay away from him gambling! LOL Too many "under pro speed" players that just like to gamble. RIP Danny! You were one of the greats.

He talked about that match for a long, long time afterwards and had a great respect for you and your play. he thought you two played very similar.

Danny was the first player I idolized...mostly because of geographic location I suppose....then I got to meet him and play him in Reno big table 96 or 97??? I won that match hill-hill and am scrambling to get that video that my also deceased friend Shannon Gibson had taped.....he was the first pro I ever idolized and coincidentally the first one I ever beat....we had some fun history betting and other things....he will be greatly missed....condolences to his family....friends...and the whole pool community....we lost another truly great player and personality.....RIP my friend!!!
