Just announced from the owners of Pool Sharks, Las Vegas:

The Action Report has posted on its website that Pool Sharks will once again be the host site for a major challenge match.

Darren Appleton will face off against Chris Bartram on May 24th and 25th in the “Pit”. This is a match between one of the world’s best and most well known tournament players against one of its best gamblers.

The Pit has become famous in pool circles around the world for its design and for the players that come to be a part of its history.

Each year pool players from across the world come to see for themselves the table that has been home to challenge matches, hall of fame players, Mosconi cup teams and the top professionals from around the world.

We also have two other challenge matches scheduled during the BCAPL National Championships. As soon as all the players have confirmed their participation and posted we will announce the names, dates and times.

I just got another "late" confirmation email from John for the next challenge at Pool Sharks. (thanks alot John :kma:)
You can follow all the tourney and challenge matches on the Pool Sharks My Space page as well... I post them as fast as John sends them...Might be faster to stay tuned on AZB! LOL!

Bartram/Appleton should be killer. I like the Midwestern gangsta over the brittish fella.

The Action Report is proud to announce the eighteenth edition of our signature challenge matches. TAR 18 features former Ten Ball World Champion Darren "Daz" Appleton vs roadman and giant killer Chris "The Smooth Criminal" Bartram.

The match is presented by long time TAR supporter OB Cues. It will take place at Pool Sharks in Las Vegas, NV May 24-25. The match is 10 Ball Race to 100 with Chris Bartram getting the call 8 ball spot. The match is a $10,000 entry per man with the winner taking the entire $20,000 prize fund.

The entire match is available via Live streaming Pay Per View on www.theactionreport.com. The cost will be $25 for both days and $20 for the final day only. Since they are playing the match in two days instead of the traditional three we will be starting the coverage each day at 3 PM Eastern/ Noon Pacific.

Is this the best we can come up with? Didnt Bartrum wax this guy last time?

So much for all these guys wanting to "step up" to play Bartrum.

Chris & Darren matched up at the DCC a few years ago. My memory is fuzzy on the outcome of that match though.

Although I think Chris is the favorite here, that was not exactly the same game. Hatch is a monster, I am sure Chris appreciates the mistaken comparison.
