I am also a vendor at the event as well as a player, and spectator. Sales were about half of what they were last year in my booth. Heard the same from other vendors.
The goal of this thread is to get ideas of how to bring better options for the event, and continue to help it be successful and encourage attendence. The added money this year was certainly a plus.
Here are a few ideas I have, and more to come.
1. Special badges/wrist bands for under 21. They can only enter the tournament room and upstairs playing areas.
2. Bring back straight pool as a high run challenge. Heard that from many people.
3. Better alert system to notify players when their match has been scheduled. Possibly some type of texting program.
4. An option to have your player badge mailed to you to eliminate the long lines at registration
5. Concerning food... many places in New Albany will deliver to the Hotel lobby. Also, use Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc. Don't let the food situation at the casino keep you from coming back or be your only option.
