Elvis and Colonel Parker part 2?
I'm my own man i don't have managers or backers i do everything myself..
he just had a option to stake me in money matches if i pleased.. was more a fun thing for me as he wanted to stake me... and he spoke about some team match he was trying to set up on espn.. so i had nothing to lose by agreeing to it..
like i said unless someone paying me a lot of money i will never sign another pool contract ever again lol.. I've had a agent before that received 12% it doesn't work in the pool world with the current state of the game... :grin-square:
Lol, It seems posting this has backfired.
Dennis needs better friends man, how on earth can someone sign something like this without even discussing it over a beer with a close friend? At which point said friend would have told him he was out of his ****ing mind for signing up for 10 years, 50% of all income with nothing in return.

I heard the first two meetings with ESPN went very well - the last two meetings didn't go as good. But maybe that deal isn't dead yet.
Good! This is such a bad deal for the player. I would have bet you wouldn't put yourself in this position.
So what exactly did you do for him at DCC to earn money? What value did you add? What arrangements did you make? Did you pay his expenses or entry fee? Did you book him a money match? Where is the value you added to his earning's to warrant a 50% fee?
The contract is so unfair and one-sided, it would most likely be ruled void by a court, especially considering the any other verbal promises made and Dennis' limited understanding of English. You have no duties, you just collect half of what the poor guy makes? Winnings, Calcuttas??? LOL! You should be entitled to a percentage of what YOU book for him.
lets not forget the guy put roof under his head ,paid all his flights, entries, feed him give him spending money, send money to his family... prob give him bonuses.. setting him exhibitions up coaching, money matches..heard got him a green card .. so its not a terrible deal
but 10 year contract doesn't make any sense i don't know any sport in the world that gives 10 year contracts

As an attorney, would you consider this contract enforceable?

cost a lot of money to get pool on espn lol.
If he paid for his green card and that is true, Dennis would owe for the fees involved - according to this contract. Hell, French could say he had to hire a chef and charge Dennis for half of that - if he did provide him food. He also hired a roofer to put the roof over his head, so Dennis owes for half of that as well. The contract gives Dennis no protection on anything.
