Derby City Ten Ball Invitational

This is a great event. An accustats video I would recommend is Archer vs Efren DCC 10 ball semifinals. If you want to see what Efren looks like in dead stroke, that's a video you need.

Good commentary by Mark Wilson and some guy named Helfert.

Thanks Mr. Stroud

Jay,

What are the rules for your one pocket high run event.
Are you going to alternate pockets?

Bill Stroud

Off thread, but thanks for coming to Jamaica Joes and playing and finishing strong. Thanks for taking time to talk to people you didn't know from Adam! Watched your match with Joey and really enjoyed that. You play great. Next time I will have the nerve to ask you to hit some balls. Watch out, I'm pretty old and wise myself! LOL.

Just curious...

Why was this event changed from the 'fatboy challenge' to the 'dcc ten ball invitational'?

Peace

Once again, this event is officially known as The Fatboy Invitational Ten Ball. Sorry for the confusion.

Just a heads up on this upcoming event at DCC. Looks like it will be the best one yet! The entry fee is $1,000 with $10,000 in added money. Only sixteen players, single elimination, race to fifteen. First will pay $12,000, second $7,000 and third-fourth $3,500.

Players entered already include: Mika, Ralf, Johnny, Dechaine, Alex, Shane, Darren, Lee Vann, Rodney (defending champ), Big D (Dennis H.), Corey, World Ten Ball champ Huidji See, Stevie Moore, Brandon Shuff and Dennis Orcollo. Warren Kiamco has filled our final spot.

How the hell did Stevie Moore get bumped off the player list???? The entry fees are not even due until January 20th?

Jays explanation.

I need to make a small adjustment at this time. I just got a call from Stevie Moore telling me that he had a new backer for this event. I explained to him that I couldn't just put him back in, since his original backer withdrew his name and Francisco has already been confirmed as an entry. What I will do is put Stevie on top of the Alternates list, so he will get the first spot that opens up.

Did Jay call Stevie before he just took him off the list??????

And if not, then is that really the way to do it???????

Jay is saying that Stevie dropped out due to losing his backer, then after he was replaced he wanted back in.

let me clear this up. i was the original backer who unfortunatly had to back out. i pm'd jay to let him know. it is neither stevies or jays fault for the confusion. its mine. hopefully stevie gets the alternate spot. i will be pulling for him to win.

So that is not what Jay is saying.

Comprehension may not be your specialty so I will spell slowly, hope that helps......

Just because Stevie told it happened one way doesn't mean that Jay is not saying it happened another way. I never said anything to defend Jay, I simply linked the answer to the question you asked. Jay posted that it happened that way so........that IS what Jay is saying, right or wrong.

Well now, so Jay doesn't bother to call the player (Stevie) to see if he has another means of paying the entry fee due on Jan. 20th but just decides to drop Stevie from the tourney. Is that the way it should be done?

Tell you what, you run your tourney and I'll run mine. Deal?

Stevie NEVER called me to get in either! Did he tell you that? Figure that one out genius!

It's not my job to figure it out, it's yours. So now are you saying you should not have listed him as a player in the first place since he did not talk to you in person????? Stevie saw his name on the list so what is he going to call and say? "Hey, Jay, I see I'm on the list of players and just wanted to let you know I want to be in the tourney."??????

And you did not answer my question. You just blew smoke. The question is, "If a backer calls and says he will not be paying a players entry feei is it "RIGHT" that the player is just dropped from the tourney without being contacted?".
