Design Your Dream - My Dream Is Now A Reality . . .

Wow Kickin Chicken, how out of line are you right now? This thread title is soooo obviously a ploy to get under Bill's skin.

Oh, I forgot to address this.

While you may think you know what lies in each man's heart and mind, you don't.

I participated in the dyd contest, came up with a design, then was lucky enough to be able to get that design done by Phil Eastwood on this magnificent case.

My DYD design has become a reality. Should I have not mentioned that?

There was zero ulterior motive.

Now you really do have the rest of the story.

Best,
Brian kc

I have to agree the case is amazing.

You got your dream case.

Brian, you're motivated. I think you need to get ahold of Thomas Wayne - that cue design screams Thomas Wayne. To have one single amazing original artwork cue that you designed and adore would be perfect for you.

Wow Kickin Chicken, how out of line are you right now? This thread title is soooo obviously a ploy to get under Bill's skin. In turn it impacts the bet you have with IBA. You are moving on my good buddy and influencing the outcome as best you can. How many posts or threads are you going to make that clearly are saying Bill finish the cue.

Absolutely not cool in any way shape form or fashion. I'd be absolutely pissed if I was IBA. I'd be wondering if you are also sending PM's to inspire the lazy cuemaker. Stick to the bet and if Bill makes the cue you get paid, if you don't win you just payoff and move on. Whatever you do though it's very unsporting to keep poking Bill and trying to influence the outcome. It just looks desperate.

I won't respond to you when you post cause this thread don't need to be bumped by anyone. Your case is amazing but why not start a thread about the case and not try to play a 2 way shot. It's foul what youre doing.

Mikey -- You're being way too serious. IBA (who's one of my favorite posters on here) made a "take your time" post to Bill some time ago -- totally funny and in-jest. I think Chicken's post was creative as it showcased his new case and gave a little funny edge to it (since we all know about the bet).

I think it's hilarious. I'm sure IBA would agree. I'm just curious what kind of thread IBA will come up with in the future that will offset Chicken's --- since, you can never let up when you're in action ;)

Brian I dont know if Awsomist is a word , but that case is the Awsomist case I ever saw . The Wow factor top of the dial . Congrats Jim:thumbup:

Another amazing creation by Phil!

Can't wait for mine to get here... it's going to be a long 2 months.

Great case!!

Lovely case Brian. You have the best toys. Looking forward to the next time we can play some One Pocket.

Thank you, Rufus.

I, too, look forward to when we might be able to get together again.

Happy Easter, buddy!

Best,
Brian kc

Thanks Dave, Lenny, JohnnyT, Spider1, Chris, Ralf (just saw you have Phil's contact info now), Bran, Robley and Jim.

Chris, Thomas Wayne's name did come up as being a top guy to consider as well as Pete Tonkin.

But I may have someone else who could be interested in completing the cue part of the dream. I'll know better where I stand on it fairly soon.

I liked MRP's idea of the gps theft deterrent, however, this case won't be going out very often. ;)

That's a shame because this case deserves to be wined, dined and you know

Phil Eastwood

Beautiful case Brian.
It's pretty cool to see a one of a kind dream case come to life. Especially one that you created and had the vision floating around in your head for so long. I'm sure the Phil is happy that all his hard work has gone to someone who will always cherish it. That alone honors the artist that made this.

Well deserved congratulations to both of you. And thanks for sharing it!

Excellent Brian. I was fortunate enough to see two of Phil's cases in person and I have to say that pictures do not do them justice. I thought that they were well done with lots of creativity with mediocre tooling, getting by with being busy. But in person the tooling really comes alive and the detail and thought he puts into the theme is off the charts. Not only off the charts but also original in execution with creative and meaningful touches all over the case. Phil is obviously a prolific genius of an artist to not only see the theme but to be able to execute it so thoroughly and quickly.

And the case does in fact ooze quality inside and out. The two I saw were every bit as protective as anything I have ever built if not more so.

You have a wonderful treasure and heirloom. I am glad to see that you made you design a reality through Phil's hands.

Thanks for liking the case juspoolin, pickpocket, drw, rex, and jb.

Rex, you are right, I will cherish this case and will be keeping it for the duration.

JB, you are also right. As nice as they are, the pictures don't do justice to Phil's work. I was talking with Will Prout when I ordered this case from Phil and he told me to expect something pretty spectacular. Will knows a lot about spectacular things. He owns a few Eastwood cases.

When I received the "This Is Sparta" case (based on the movie 300), I found myself studying the case for a long time and I kept finding more interesting detail. There truly is a lot of fine detail in these cases.

As a for instance, below are a some pictures of the Sparta case. Count how many spears and dead bodies there are at the bottom of the case. A few more pics there provide an idea of the carving detail but, still, it's even better in person.

Finally, I will again thank Phil for putting a big smile on my face. On top of all of the talent he posseses, he is a really nice guy to work with. :thumbup2:

Best,
Brian kc
