If you're looking for something not necessarily pool related yet attention grabbing I'm a big fan of "Naked Ladies Giving Out Free Money and Beer!". Possibly over promising a tad but totally worth it.

Second, we are looking for a catchy new name for this event. Something that will distinguish it from all other pool tournaments. It could be a slang name or even something that does not relate to pool per se. Just a good name that we can use in the future to distinguish this special event. So put your thinking caps on and come with it. The person providing the winning name will have free admission at DCC (normally $20 a day).

OK, two things: first off, I really and truly hope that those six tables the tournament is losing are getting replaced somewhere else in the venue. How that's going to happen, given that everything is already shoehorned in there, I dan't know. But IMO, the DCC -- since they refuse to cut off the entries into the Banks at any sensible number that the tables and schedule can accommodate without delaying everything else down stream -- is already short on tables for the number of guys they let in. Now that THAT is off my chest, number two.

If it were me, I'd do something like contact the Hustlin' USA guy, whose name escapes me at the moment, and offer him a sponsorship deal and, if he jumps, call it the "DCC Hustlin' Invitational" or a variant thereof.

Bravo! I applaud you on this. *There is absolutely no reason* for a tournament of reasonable size to be pulling the draw out of a back room and yet that continues to happen at some big events, in Vegas...

Probably better for pool if it is a non-gambling affiliated company but if they won't jump, maybe one of the online poker companies. :embarrassed2:
