A few days before a local handicapped tournament (the super tournament) the tournament director said Earl Strickland eas going to play. His handicap was a +2. He wanted to bet with anyone that earl couldn't win as a +2 but I thought he was robbing. I bet with him that he would cash (top 4) as a plus two.

Well, I couldn't be there for the tournament, but mid tournament, he bumps earl to a +3. How strong is that??? So now he cannot lose the bet. I think I should still be paid. Funny thing is, earl still cashed but he won't pay.

Thoughts?

your a sucker son.

Find a good laxative. The liquid kind that they use for a day before prep for a
Colonoscopy. Over the counter stuff that any pharmacist can give you. Buy him a good stiff double the next time you run into him.
Trust me, he will be running with his pants around his ankles in about 30 seconds.
FN welchers.

You sir, are a mean vindictive SOB:thumbup::thumbup:

I salute you!!

If you didn't get paid, you got played for a chump.

Torture him for all time about not paying, every time you see him.
If he messes with your rating in the tournament as a result when you play, torture him more.

TD name?

Chalk it up to the game or pick him up by his toes and shake him until money falls out... your call. -1 for betting on a handicap.

Is it safe to assume you will not be giving this TD a tip?

Oh, sorry, wrong thread. :o

best,

lace up the boots and begin your tap dance!!

First thing that comes to mind is, why wont he pay? Wrong or not, he must have had some sort of reason.

Maybe you got moved on and maybe it was legit (having to raise Earl due to player pressure). Either way, you put yourself in a bad spot since Finnegan has the power to change the outcome.

On the other point, if Earl beat the line with a higher rating, you should still win.

Sometimes you just gotta be there. It's not hard to stiff a guy who's a no show. Now you've got a beef when you see him. It ain't worth the aggravation. Sorry bud :frown:

Oh god so the guy is basically saying the "+2" isnt the same as the "+3", I'd say if he's big enough for an ass whoopin he deserves one. Anything over 220lbs, you should hit him in his mouth. Under that just call him out on it and then move on. That's foul shit.

Oh yeah no question you got moved on.

I'm assuming +3 is a tougher spot than +2.

This TD might be the reincarnation of Detroit Whitey....
..don't think I'd want play in his tournament.
