I am interested in the elephant ear wraps. Is there real as well as leather embossed products? What colors are avaliable? What is the approximate costs for installaton of each? Would really like to see some pics of entire butt section with these wraps also. I have seen some smaller pics that do not show the whole butt and it is difficult to see how it looks in context with the cue. I have a Skip Weston with ebony/ivory bushka rings at ABCDE and think this would be a great wrap for it, PM with prices please.
Thanks,
Dan

Oh Joy, What a treat. Yet another reason to drive this magnificent beast into extinction. How about puppy fur. You up for that ?

pm sent sir please check ty.

Real Elephant ear leather is pretty thick. But at one time and maybe still, Tiger Products carried a Elephant ear print leather that would install in place of Irish Linen with no problem.

We'll do them for $130 installed and shipped back to you.

Of course most of the cuemaker's here can just get the leather from us or one of our Distributors and install it for you.

I think many on the forums are competatively priced if not less expensive that we are on the labor.

Yup, we still have Elephant print embossed leather. Much better for a cue wrap and waaaaaaaaaaaay less expensive than the real stuff!

I somehow doubt the elephant ear cue wrap demand is going to cause a big jump in elephant poaching.

I am kinda interested in a dalmation wrap though. Anybody got a puppy for sale?

Pm me for a price.we have the real elephant at a fair price, and trust me it is far superior to embossed leather.it has a great feel and will last a lifetime.it is extemely tough and durable

The embossed leather is nice and Tiger offers great products and I use their leathers as one of my sources, but for Lizard and elephant, there is nothing like the real thing.

i totally AGREE... UNTIL I FOUND THE LIZARD PRINT FROM LEE @ BRIANNA. IT IS WAY WAY BETTER THEN REAL IMO. STAYS SHINNY AND HOLDS UP FOREVER. ALSO IT IS THIN ENOUGH TO REPLACE LINEN. SOMETIMES I FEATHER IT IN WITH A RAZORBLADE BUT BC IT HAS TO BE PERFECT :D

REALEST LOOKING STUFF IVE SEEN. YOU CAN ONLY GET IT THROUGH LEE BC ITS HIS PRIVATE SOURCE. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE

Wow this old thread came back to life!! For the record I am no longer interested in elephant ear wraps, the cue I wanted it for is long gone.
Thanks,
Dan

they NEVER poach for elephant hide, its too heavy for the poachers to carry, tan etc. The elephant hide that is avaliable is from sport hunted aninals, i have shot 14 elephants(thats a lot of wraps). its all legal and regulated.

Not in California.
My bootman made cowboy boots out of elephant ear.
He said importing elephant ear leather to Calif ( same with kangaroo skin ) is illegal.
But, how does Ernie do it? :)

I hunted some elephant once, but there was a school field trip that day, and I had to stop after just one kill. You would think a bunch of 7-year olds never seen a rifle at a zoo before by all the commotion, sheesh.

I have a question about the kangaroo Joey said was illegal to import into Cali. Is it just illegal in hide form or in any form. Shoes, jackets etc... The reason I ask is soccer shoes are avalible every where in Cali made out of kangaroo leather.
