that table would make me seasick!
Was that a table on a cruise ship, then?
...It actually reminds me of something from almost 20 years ago. We went to Eureka, CA for about a week of pool and on the ride back someone announces proudly that they got some incredible green up there, and they wanted to share. I'd never had it before, and they insisted that since it was very very smooth and mild, I had to have a whole lot, very quickly, for it to actually do anything.
(I was very young, and it took a lot of trial and error before I stopped believing whatever I was told by a "friend.")
Passed out almost immediately. For almost 3 hours. Woke up when we stopped in Redding at a poolroom. I thought I might feel a little better. Got the balls, racked them, started thinking things were a little funny... Finally I sidled up to a friend and asked if they had noticed that the table was about three inches higher at the foot than it was at the head? They thought about it.
We kept shooting. Finally he inches back over to me and says, "Wouldn't all of the balls roll downhill, though, if it was higher on one side?" That took a lot of consideration and thinking, and I couldn't do it. So I said "yeaaahhhh," like I knew what he was talking about. I needed to go to the bathroom.
The carpet had huge colored swirls in it, like a casino carpet. I was worried I would trip on a swirl on my way to the bathroom. I high- stepped it all the way across the room so as not to trip and fall on a swirl. When I managed to get back I had to get the keys and go sleep again in the car.
