Well after a comedy of errors it is finally up and running. I am sorry it took so long. I went through the entire encoding and uploading process at the Qlympics event (no mean feat the file is 1.3 GB encoded) using the DivX authoring tool. After 3 days of Stage6 "Processing" the video I finally got the word from their support that the file name was bad and that no I could not just change the name I had to re-encode. Evidently the DivX authoring tool uses default names that the DivX hosting site will not accept. I hate computers.

Add in Shane vs. Earl, Thanksgiving, a little drive from Louisville to Indy to Sioux Falls and the topper a nasty little bout with the flu. I sure am glad November is over.:D

Anyway, I am back in the saddle and have been knocking some things out so here are the goodies:

Action All Around 1 Schmidt vs Harriman
Day 3 10 Ball race to 30
Video starts at 20 -20 and runs till the end of the match. 109 minutes long

Edited to add: I want to thank our commentators for this particular part of the match. AZ's own Shawn Putnam and the 2007 Louis Roberts award winner Chris Bartram. They did a hell of a job and they did it just to help us out. 2 class acts and all around nice guys. Thanks fellas.

DivX video is here. You may need to redownload the player I did.I think they may have upgraded or something, after I downloaded it, the file played great. This video is 720x480 good stuff.

I have also just finished our new Cues Of The Pro's section on the site. I am pretty happy with it. There is some good stuff there...even an exclusive look at Earl's gear.

A note to all who have placed orders for DVD's and merchandise..we have not taken off for Mexico. I have basically been living out of a duffel bag for the last month and am working on getting everything out by Friday at the absolute latest. If anyone is unhappy with anything contact me and I will make it right. Thanks to everyone for all their support Chad, Jason and I really appreciate it.

Awesome stuff, thanks for posting. I dont see how Earl and can shoot with a wrap that thick.

Oh well.

Thanks Justin!

Huh...never heard that one. Works fine for me and Stage 6 accepts only DivX format.

What browser are you using? IE7 seems to work well, some people have had issues with firefox.

If you haven't already, go here and download the newest player.

If you still have problems let me know.

Great video!

Two great players matching up. Everyone must watch this nerve racking back and forth battle. Thanks Action Report!

Yeah it is pretty tight. The night before when the 1 pocket was 9-9 and if Harriman loses he has no shot to win any money was pretty good too. Both of these guys played tough.

Just to reset the format this is how they played:
14.1 to 400 for $3300
1 pocket race to 10 for $3300
10 Ball for $3400
If they split the first two sets(they did) then they play the 10 ball for all the money. $20K

We could not have written it any better. I really like the All Around format. I think we could promote it better and get people interested in the different games.

Shane played Earl???

Add in Shane vs. Earl,

It happened so fast, I already forgot about it:) :) :)

Although I was happy to get a few people here in KC giving 10, 20, 25 and 26 games on the wire;) :p

Thanks for the rest of the story on video, too bad we missed it live.

Take Care and Keep it up we love you here in KC.

I downloaded the newest DivX player, I'm getting a "could not download video file" error in the divX window.

When I tried to download the player I got a message that it doesn't support windows 98. Is there another player I can download that will work, or am I out of luck?

I watched it twice!....the last 10 games were gut wrenching! to say the least. You got 2 great young champions battling demons, the table, and both wanting badly to win the first "all around"

WELL DONE TAR!

Gerry<<< glad I'm around to see the beginings of the action report...

Tar

Great job again guys.

I only have one question...

What cue does Harriman play with, and why on Earth does he
rough up the butt?

I like the crown butt cap on a sneaky.
Thanks,
cOOp

Thanks Justin--but nothing like this should be free.

I have no idea what you are talking about but it sounds like you went thru a lot of work just so people can view something for free.

I just ordered a 'Bet Something' T Shirt as a small token of my gratitude.

While we're on the subject of TAR, does anyone know if it's possible to transfer a streaming vid to your big screen TV during an event? Would the picture quality be worse than the full screen rendition ? Is the technology here yet ? Thanks...Tom

this depends on your equipment

Wow, that was fun to watch. I was out of town when this event went down and I am very thankful for the TAR guys posting this up.

Is anyone having buffering problems? It takes a long time for my screen to buffer the program. Am I doing something wrong. It will play for 30 seconds and just stop.

When it keeps buffering like that it is usually due to your connection being slow. The video is a very large file. You may be better off just pausing the video and letting it sit for a while and then go back to it.
