God bless your nephew. My brother is a diehard Marine. Holy smoke, you just wouldn't believe it. He also is a Vietnam era veteran today. :)

His only child, my nephew, is currently in Iraq on his first tour of duty for 15 damn months. I don't get it why the Army has to go for 15 months. The Marines go for 6 months.

We have just been informed that my nephew is coming home for a visit sometime in July. I can't wait! He's the newly promoted sergeant on the right. :p


As all who know JoeyA can see by his avatar, I am sure he won't mind me hijacking my own thread to say:

God bless the United States of America. Please bring our soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines home safely.

Jam, you sure know how to catch people's attention.:D You're right about Gov. Bobby Jindal. It would be lovely to see a half-way strong conservative on the ticket. He's got all he can handle in Looziana though!
