there, I said it.

it's a pool cue.

do you want to sell it?

if so, here's what to do:

if you are unsure of the value, go to the MAIN Forum and post a thread there asking for help to establish the value of whatever it is you may have to sell. Include pictures, if possible, and a good description with specs and condition in order to receive the best (most accurate) responses. There are knowledgeable members there who will help you.

Once they come up with a good estimated value, you can then, based on those numbers, decide, whether or not you are interested to sell it.

If you do want to sell, post it here on Wanted/For Sale at a price that makes sense to both you, the seller, and, also, to any prospective buyers.

Remember to provide a thorough description including pictures, full specs, materials, and condition.

Simply posting an item for sale with no price while asking people to pm offers to you is no different than running an auction looking for a high bid.

Establishing a value is not hard to do as you read above. If you need to, please follow that and if you then decide to sell, kindly include a price.

If you are only interested in best offers being sent to you, post your item on eBay.

No auctions here, please.

best,
brian kc

Thank you, I will also post this again, my treatise on W/FS shenanigans:

I hate seeing the 'PM me offers'

It's bullshit.

It's like they have a number in mind but are holding out for someone to offer more than its worth.

That is exactly what they are doing. Be honest salespeople and say "I want $XXX for my cue" - people will haggle from there.

Thanks Brian.Good post. The "Feeler" threads are a joke, and they should be in the main forum.PM offers is BS too.Auctions are for eBay!

Maybe it's time for a few rules in the "for sale" section. Like a price must be included in the post. I mean you either want to sell it or you don't.

What gets me is when people don't post a price and then ***** about getting low ball offers.

I agree, price, specs, condition and pictures are very important, or you are going to get one of these;

How much for de dawg? I'll take it.

What I don't like is when they say this is a high end cue and don't not so much don't say what they are asking, but discourage you from asking.

It's about time!!!!

It's about time someone came forward and said what kinda BS this feeler shit is. Thank you:thumbup:

OTOH, it really irks me when I list an item for sale with a price and the first 5 PM's I get are, "What's your absolute lowest price on the item?" inquiries. Not even a, "Will you take $XXX for your item?" Just a straight, "How much more will you discount your item {so I can counter-offer something even lower}?"

I'm not sure why this doesn't go without saying but if you're interested in my item, and want to spend less, then MAKE ME AN OFFER. I've listed a price, why do you think I'm just going to drop my pants and offer it to you for less?

This is the best thread I've seen in a long time... And this thread should stay on top for a long, long, long time...so that everyone in the future will know how to put something up F/S here - with pics, specs and A PRICE

Kind of goes hand in hand with the "I'll post pics and specs later" but here's what I'm selling. Never understood that one either????? Couldn't it wait until you had time to include that info, geez.

Fact is, everyone is looking to steal your $hit, like it or not. Lot of a$$clowns on here looking to flip cues so they try to steal them....

A little advice, hate the player, not the game...

I love the post where they say " I don't need to sell if I don't get the right price I'll just put it back in the case!" which tells me they're only going to sell if they make a big profit on it. Most of time these guys want way more than the cue is worth. They say rare one of a kind custom. Most custom cues are one of a kind aren't they?

Oh man I love this thread. Nothing in the world frosts me more than the guy that goes through listing the specs and has great pictures but won't name his price. He knows everything else about the cue but what it is worth.

Great post, I agree 100% with it. This is wanted/for sale forum.

Not a feeler forum.
