Frost vs Alex - 1 Pocket Match on Monday for $40,000

I like Scotts end of it............

I think Alex is going to have his hands full.

Scott should be called the Intimidator.

Your old buddy Geno............I knew you'ld like that.:rolleyes:

If you have problems with the time they are playing let them know. I am sure they will change their hours for the crybabys.

I'm going to go out on a limb here. I'd say the first 4-5 games take a while, but then once a mistake is made and they feel each other out a little, it's going to be run out city or close for the other player. Either way, I'll be watching and I think this is going to be a great matchup. Sure, Alex is the underdog, but you just never know what can happen over a long session.

If Alex thought he was the underdog there is no way he would play an 8 ahead set.

...... Especially for 20k.

I'd love to know how everyone determined the favorite in this.

Who's been in more action with great players lately?

Who shoots better?

Who banks better?

Who runs the balls better?

Who kicks better?

Who moves better?

Who's more likely to sell out?

They both bet high all the time, bet is high enough they'll both try hard, I don't think either is going to dog it.

Walk through those questions.

Arguably the worlds best player right now, pattern racking 9 ball with a magic rack. What else would you expect??
I would expect to see an occasional ball hung in the corner pocket....you know, being 3-7/8" and all. Not Robocop. Center hole every time, Citizen.

The dude is an alien.

I was just kindly reminded to ask the most important question...who's putting up the money for the match????

When Scott made the challenge to play anyone even, the first person I thought of was Alex. If I were a backer, he's the guy I would have put in the box.

I can only watch the beginning so I really hope this gets put on the net or sold or something.

I never said Alex said, thought or felt he was the underdog...I said he is the underdog in this match. Since he's putting up the $$$, I'm sure he doesn't feel like he's the underdog...but the reality to most of the public is that he is.

Alex plays all games and has no fear! :)

Do they serve alcohol at Hard Times? Just curious.

lol, this is a good "wildcard" question. Both guys have been known to have a few brewskys.

Who does the Keith like in this matchup?

Keith said, "On them tables, I'd probably have to take Scott, maybe. I talked to a couple of people over there, and the game is on the square." :)

I know Scott play's good, but how is Alex the underdog here? If anything at the worst it's even action in my mind. Frost is suppose to be the best 1p player in the world, but I haven't seen him at the top of the DCC 1p, U.S.O. 1p, or any other major 1p tourny recently. (Please correct me if I'm wrong I didn't take the time to look it all up.)

Alex on the other hand seems to have a renewed interest in pool, and is arguably top 5 all around players in the world. He can definitely out bank, move, and shoot, Scott. (or so I would think) So how is he the underdog?

I love playing 1p and it can even up a gap in ability if you play it well, and the other person doesn't. The only down side to that is Alex plays 1p pretty damn strong...

Either way, I can't wait to watch this one!!!

best,

Justin
