Found the $10,000.

Kelly drove back to Vegas for monthly payables. Her mom looked everywhere for the $10,000. This morning. I took 4 cue cases and put them in the vault before we left, her mom dosent have access to it, Kelly went into the vault room and opened the pouches on the cue cases we moved into the room to vault room. I knew I put the $$$ in a cue case, It didnt occour to me I put it in the wrong cue case, i had them out to take pics of a couple cues i might sell. So she checks the cases-since she helped me she knew what cases to check and there was the $$$. So the 10 large is still mine.,

the bad news, we had a dispute with a vendor from business in 2005 that went into arbitration long ago, 2 weeks ago was the hearing, he lied his balls off taking a shot at our $$$ cause he is going bust. sat in a office for 8 hours the other day going over shit, he said we gave him a oral agreement to cover his losses(which he has NEVER given anyone a accounting of) he picked a number out of the air. We just got the verdict we owe him 100% so I found the $10,000 but lost somewherre between $125,000-$175,000 my end, on a 100% phony claim. nice. I guess the 10 dimes was practice for the real $$$. And there is another $25,000 my end for the lawyers. If I owed him the $$$ we would have paid him. I cant stand it. If I was making $$$ I wouldnt care, but i aint made $$$ in 30 months, so this is beyond brutal.

Appeal! Since when is a one sided oral agreement binding without reliable witnesses or supporting proof? Hell, tell the court that he had an oral agreement with you that he guaranteed you $400k in sales the first year and you are counter suing since he's going bust!

Heh, btw, I TOLD ya you would find it! Said so in the other thread. :)

in arbriation there is no appeal, he lied and got away with it, oh well i have taken biggger hits than that, just the timing is real bad. if i was making $$ I wouldnt care.

Gotcha, didn't mention in the first post that it was arbitration... Sometimes I hate the freaking legal system, especially things like arbitration. We were looking at going after some former renters of ours for money they owed, not a huge amount, like $2k or so, but in MN it goes to reconciliation court, which our lawyer calls "monkey court". Basically arbitration... So, we could pay $250/hour to our lawyer in the hopes that the judge that day wasn't in an anti-landlord move. Could easily have cost us more for legal costs then we would get in judgement... *sigh*

At least you found your $10k :)

That is a bad day

After hearing that, I realize my crap day wasn't so bad. I feel for ya, hope things get better.

Ick, I missed the arbitration agreement part also ... what a complete screw job. Arbitration is always a crap shoot and you never know what is going to happen, sorry you took that one on the chin.

Wow Eric, when God closes a door he opens a window just so he can slam the window down on your hands lol. Sorry for your fortunate:misfortunate ratio brother.

I swear I read it twice and didn't see it. Just read it again and now I see it! It's a conspiracy against me, he went back and edited it! Yeah, that's the ticket!

But, at least I can spell! :)

Just some friendly advice Fatboy.... MODS DELETE THIS THREAD!!

ANd change your sig

Keep it real....The worm will turn !

It always does...Hang in there & ride the wave when it finally turns...You've been having some horrible beats lately but tomorrow is always another day....Take care man & hope the old back aint too bad with this weather....mine been acting up with every front that rolls in.

The $10k had to be at home. If you had dropped it in the street in Vegas somebody would have picked it up, handed it in at the lost property office and you would have got it back quicker.

Sorry to hear about your spell of bad luck Eric. I had my fair share over the past few months, but things seem to be turning around now. Hope things do the same for you too.
