Got f***ing robbed today

Seriously WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE TODAY....sorry this might be long but I really need to vent.

I am so distraught and sick right now.... I finally got my check from the Veterans for about $400 (I am under a program where they give me money per semester, and pay for my schooling since my dad (RIP) was a former POW).

Went to BoA to cash it, and then withdrew my last $80 from my account so I could close it and open up a new account with a different bank. I only work part time because I go to school.

I took all the cash and put it in an envelope and left it in the middle compartment to the right of the driver's seat. I was on the way to open up an account with Chase, and stopped at CVS to pick up a few things. The parking lot was almost full since it's in a big mall with a bunch of stores, etc, so I parked in the back.

I get back, and notice my car door is unlocked (I could have sworn I locked it) CD's and papers were strewn about the car, my glove box and middle compartment where I had the money were open, and of course the bank envelope was gone. So now I'm flat broke, my savings to pay for my hotel and plane ticket are gone, and I can't even save up much money since all the money I make at my part time job goes to car insurance and cell phone bills. So yeah, I'm f*cked

The only good thing to come out of this is that my cues were still there, probably since I left them in the trunk (why this guy didn't pop my trunk is beyond me)

I filed a police report and that was that. Nothing else I can do. I wish my piece of sh*t car had one of those detachable radios so the scumbag thief could have taken that instead of every last penny of my money. This makes me so sick.

AAAAAAARGH I just want to ****ing SCREAM. I hope karma comes around and bites whoever this sonofa***** is in the ass. Whoever you are, thanks for ruining my f*ing year.

Sounds like a bad beat...Every generation is getting worse & worse..sad but true.

Brother, i was under a similar program in college and was in almost the exact same situation at one point when I was in school. I wish had any kind of stability going on myself, I'd ship ya the $400 myself to help out. As for karma, I wish you could find who did it to create some of your own karma. If there is anything else I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask. By the way, you might want to see if you can get a replacement check and notify your VA counselor at school, they might be able to help in someway.

Some people turn to crime rather than work, as in the USA it take about 10-12 arrests before the courts in many places do much of anything to the criminals.

Pm me your paypal info. I'm sure a little help from a few people will go a long way.

Best,
Mike

I wish I could of caught them for you.....:grin-devilish:
Not sure if your homeowners insurance covers cash, but it does cover other items that may of been in your car.
Are there any surveillance cameras around there?

I believe in Karma, and the scumbags that stole your cash have a lot of Karma, and it's all bad.

Nat,

Which CVS was it?

What was the trip you were planning?

This really sucks.

I. Hate. Thieves.

Bottom line.

Liars are not far behind. Make your own money before you decide to "steal" someone elses. The moron could have died if you walked out and carried a concealed weapon (we can do it in my state, not sure on yours or even if you listed it)

Back in 82, I had my car broken into and cleaned out. Nothing in the glovebox, even the ashtray was empty.
In the boot(trunk ) was at that time a $3k shotgun in the original case wrapped in a blanket . Lucky for me,it was the only thing left in the car.
They never caught them, but they did 20 cars that night.
I was paranoid and gutted for a while.

Sorry to hear of this bad event.

A couple of things about your story jumped out at me.

First and foremost is that you are the son of a former POW.

Add to this, the fact that you are a well regarded, long-time azb member.

As mikjary indicated, help from a few friends can go a long way.

Please post your paypal info so members who are so inclined may give you an assist.

I agree with cuesblues that you should inquire if any surveillance cameras might have been working the parking lot. The police will automatically check into this for serious crimes like, rape, murder, etc., but much less likely for a car break in.

And definitely pursue car/home/renters insurances plus the agency who issued the check for some possible relief.

Keep your chin up.

And the bad guy will get what he deserves some day.

Best,
Brian kc

Hi,

Two things Kickin' wrote I wholeheartedly agree with:

Please post (or PM if you prefer) your paypal info so members who are so inclined may give you an assist.

Great idea Brian.
Post your Pay Pal address Bud. We try and help out our AZ friends out in a time of need.
No matter if its big or small, it all adds up. A fin is all it takes to get this guy up and running.

PS - I hate F/N theives. Most are very lucky we have strict gun control laws in Canada. Otherwise.

Nat is a very nice and honest young man who could use a little help at this time. He's a friend of mine, a good pool player and as you guys know, his savings cash was cleaned out when his car was broken into recently as he was trying to change banks.

What impresses me about him is how respectful he is toward his mother. He also cared for his father who was a disabled vet before his dad passed away.

He's a student and works part time. $400 may not sound like a lot to us but it was a lot to him.

Anyway, his paypal is: pro9b@hotmail.com

He won't ask for help, but I will ask for him - in case anybody feels generous today.

$400 is a lot to lose for just about anybody unless you are DippyD.

I just sent Nat a little something that I hope will help. I am hoping there will be others that help if they can. Chris vouching for him went a long way with me since I hold him in such high regards. Good luck, Nat.
