I just wanted to shoot a kudos to James Roberts for getting past his first match at the Predator 10-Ball event today. For those who weren't aware, after a 1st round bye, James drew Mr. Johnny "the Scorpion" Archer. After racing out to a 6-0 lead, James held on to win 10-5. Great job, enjoy the victory, and keep it up in the next round and beyond!

Ahhh hell, James musta got lucky and slopped 10 of 'em in.

;)

Congrats James! Keep up the good mojo, and do what I do so swell (did it once anyway) - stay positive and lock out what pollutes YOUR game. Only you know what that is.

My pollution list... Ummm.... Nevermind. There's a 50,000 character limit to each post.

(But I did just win my second ever tourney tonight. I'm hoping the AP carries the story, lmao)

Good Job James !

T o beat Johnny that handily you had to be on top your game...good luck with the rest your matches.

James can play with the best of them when he keeps his head right. Keep it up James.. Also i dont think he had a first round bye i think he played howell in the first round and won 10- 8

Great triumph. I have a feeling we will be reading more and more about Mr. Roberts in the future. Well done! :)

That is very impressive and all the more reason why I don't talk sh!t on these forums. I have no clue who this guy is and he beat Archer. I would bet there are plenty more on here that play as well.

Nice shooting James. I know who you are now :D

Hey thanks everybody for all the kind words and encouragement

Hopefully I can stay focused and continue to play well

Wow

Now if you could only get the cash against that Evan guy you would be a playa. GL the rest of the way

Fallen heroes??
I think this was a poor report on the P10 balls behalf, James should have got a much better write up which in turn makes the event look even stronger. I spoke to james the other night and he said he played very well and that Archer did miss a few balls. James has been playing strong pool all year.
It was a great result for him.

Current #1 USA ranked Johnny Archer was the first big upset. He played unheralded amateur James Roberts of Tampa, Florida in what seemingly should have been a routine win for Archer. So everyone thought at least. Unusually below par play from Archer gave Roberts the chances he needed to score a commanding 10-5 win.

10-5 scoring is AWESOME against any player let alone Johnny Archer. Another thing is when you play exceptionally well your opponent often does not play up to their ability. I think that is the write up that James deserves.

Now James has to concentrate on his next match to make the final 32.

UCNDOIT!

James next match will be against the winner between Facquet the very competent French player and Al Lapena.

If James plays the table in his next match, he may very well find himself in the final 32 of 112 of the best players in the world.

Good luck James!
