Has anyone ever heard of Keith McCready?

Can't believe that you have as many posts as you do and ask the question if anyone on this forum has ever heard of Keith.

.

As has been noted in a couple of other posts; I believe that Black-Balled was being a little facetious.

Black-Balled lives in the DC area, as does McCready, and I believe they have played in the same tournaments more than once or 100 times.

rumor has it . . .

Thats the winning lottery ticket that nobody has cashed.

Rumor has it that the book is complete, . . . sorta! A certain sweet someone that is a perfectionist plus can't quit polishing on it. I think she should pull the trigger and send it to an editor or publishing company.

Just rumor of course!

I would buy a copy.

I reckon you would

I would buy a copy.

You would have to stand in line to do it! That is probably the most eagerly awaited book that is known to be in the works.

Maybe that is what we should do, a bunch of us prepay and guilt trip JAM into getting it completed. :D :D :D

There are others among us who have strong writing skills and great stories to tell also.
I have enough money for Kieth's book and yours Hu!

I wouldn't think of pre-paying for a book. But Jam, If you need up-front money to pay for printing costs, I will pre pay, and I am sure there are at least 200 other posters that will. I know of several wealthy pool people, who would gladly stake the venture. We all know you are a perfectionist. Send it to the guy who helped with Jay Helferts book, or someone else who has done one. Let them read it, suggest a few changes, and get it out. Let the first edition pay for the next 3. In the next year, with the pool stories Keith has, you guys will have enough dough Keith could get out and play some, and sell autographed copies on site. Like they said, you're holding a winning lottery ticket.

Count me in on that pre-payment! I watched Keith play for months at Cue Club in SF...nothing but amazing! I played him in a tournament on time....waiting for a chance to run out a rack and say to him, "It's like a nightmare, isn't it?..", but I never got a shot! lol!

Keith could give Earl the 7=8 for being a****** at one time he also was subject to beat any living human on a given day. Hustler extrordenare con-man o-ya. Once Jay H. brought Keither to my tourn. Jay PUT HIM IN AND HE ALSO GOT STAKED BY 3 OTHERS. Not Buddy but if Keith was their he was like Louie roberts theres gonna be action.

The most flamboyant player ever to play the game, the most liked, the most wanted pool player to come back by all players and all fans!COME ON KEITH LACE EM UP JUST ONE MORE TIME!I KNOW IT HAS TO BE BURNING IN YOUR STOMACH TO JUST LET GO AND SAY F IT HERE IAM,IAM STILL A POOL PLAYER!when u do come back KEITH it will be the biggest thing that ever happen in pool for a very long time, you are loved by all pool players and all fans,i would bet on that~!

Richie ,he is going to make a come back , jam was on the other day and said they were going to TUNICA in July and Kieth would have his cue with him (sweet)

JAM, that's the only thing good about deadlines. They make you finish.
I'll be 69 soon . Please get it to a publisher before I reach my deadline!

Keith

Met, Keith at the Senator Hotel in Sacramento, for Fathers Day Tournament.
He played Ray Sudden (Fudsey), gave him the eight, great action and antics.

I will pre-pay for the book also.

I asked my son how much was being spent on the new Star Trek film, he said 175 to 200 million.
He is the 2nd director on the film.

It would be great to see a movie on KEITH, but not sure on the risk that Producers would take to have it made.
It would take a lot of movie veiwers to make up the cost.

I will ask him what he thinks?

Take Care, Barney

I'm in also..can't wait if it happens..sign me up...A good title would be
It was like a nightmare.....then put Keith's creds down...something like from legendary pool player & gambler...widely known for his role as Grady Season in the Color of money with Paul Newman & Tom Cruise....well something to the sort...I just woke up & it's the best I got without my can of full throttle yet...lol:D

Book Pre-Payer

Well, I have known JAM (Jennie) for 20 years!!! I am good for 2 copies of the book and of course PRE-PAID! It would be nice to NUMBER and have Keith and Jennie sign the first batch!

I like the title "Jelly Roll" its a play on words since she is JAM and pool vernacular. If you know any thing about his life its filled with ups and downs and rolls all over the place. Same with Jennie. Through it all they found each other and fill the voids in each others lives and make each other WHOLE!

just my two cents on the books title!

Keith showed up in one of our local poolhalls over 10 years ago (White Diamonds in Lafayette, LA). He is still brought up in conversation there about once a month. We'd love to see him there for one of their big tournaments!

I was the one that brought him over there...Keith had never been so we tried to sneak him in on Chris but they recognized him from the Color of money...I had Ricky P with me & was acting like i was trying to match Ricky up with Chris...once it all went down Chris was like a lil kid...told me...I knew who he was when he came thru the door...I was just learning...I wanted to see how u was gonna angle him off on me...laughing and cutting up hysterically...he thens asks for the 6,8 & last 4 which i thought was way to much weight so we didnt play...Ricky got a guy to go back a few nights later & Keith popped him for 2 sets...I think they might have been going to 11...1st set Chris had Keith 8-1 & kinda blew a safe & next time he got back to the table it was 9-8 Keith...to this day with all the players Chris gambled he said it's the most packages anybody ever run on him in a session.
