those guys are great, i think classiccues, bushwhacker, qualitycues, erik lee, and cornerstone are also great guys to deal with, for cues from $2k-4k.

Cue Sellers

Another is Troy from ON The Hill. I have been buying from him for years.

The above were a good group, and I agree with recommendations.

But the deal of John Wright was he usually had a buyer before he had the cue. The key is finding someone what has buyers BEFORE getting the cue.

Secondly, this would be effective IMO, on highly desirable cues. Not the typical cues sold here.

I have many of John Wright's Kodak photos and price lists. He was sending out his web-site through the mail before the Internet. Contacts, with both cue makers and buyer/collectors was his forte. I can remember Bill sending him several cues, before John had a buyer, and I remember John calling Bill looking for a certain cue for a buyer.

The Internet now is what JW used to be, in my opinion.

I've bought a few cues from, and sold John Wright many more cues. I used to go over to his house and spend some time playing him on his table in the basement for a dollar a game. Funny thing, even his used cues (all of them) only had a couple of hours of playing time on them...lol

Funny John Wright story. He played Tom Karabatsus (spell check) some 9 ball and Tom spotted him the 1 ball in a race to 7 for $100. John won the set 7-6 and started skipping around the pool table chanting "I win, I win, I quit, I quit."

Deano,

In my personal opinion, you don't need a "dealer" to sell your cues. I'm no dealer and I've sold several cues priced up to $6,500 right here. However, to do it correctly, you need to have the following check list:

-Total and comprehensive specs on the cue...weight, shaft size, balance, straightness, etc.... Full disclosure, honest and up front.

-Condition. Be picky, they are buying a cue priced in the thousands.

-No comments on how well it plays. It's subjective and does not really help the sale.

-Pictures!!!! Lot's of them and shots of the butt, forearm, and whole cue.

-Offer a return if the customer is not satisfied.

I know that if I'm buying a $4k cue, I want to know everything about it, just one step away from actually holding it in my hands. If all that fails, I'd go with Cornerstone or Cueaddicts.

My 2 cents.

Dean,

If you want a great seller who knows cues and is 100% reliable, I have had great success with Kevin Brewer right here. He charges a fair percentage and pays all his own expenses from his fees.

I can recommend Kevin whole heartedly. He has bought and sold cues for me and recently sold some sterling flatware I inherited for nearly twice my expected value.

Kevin is honest to a "T" and knows his stuff. If you need references, Ernie at Ginacue will vouch for him as well.

I'll ask Kevin to call you.

Echo this. I have been more than happy dealing with Kevin on a $3+K cue. I'm always on the lookout for what he has to offer.

yup

this is who I am and take my word for what I say and I'll refund you if you are not happy, doesn't fly real well with most. Descriptions, pictures, show you have some interest also. You have mentioned some nice cues on several occasions, but never a picture or specs. At best, a link to a link for more pics. I don't think that works real well. If it did, you would not be looking for help selling 'em.

Dito. I don't buy from anyone who doesn't take the time to present the details of his item, but just says "call me." It's like they're lonely and just want to talk to someone...

All of those listed above take the time to present their items in a professional manner, and I appreciate that. Only one on the list screwed me, and I would never buy from him again. K******D

I hear he is pretty sporty when it comes to selling 50K cues too.
