I'm sure this was asked before, but how much is your playing cue actually worth? I have 2 playing cues myself, when I actually play. My main one cost me a total of like $1300, and my playing "twin" sneaky was about $300...and u know who made em both, I don't need to repeat it. So who made yours and what did it cost you?

p.s. My "break cue" which is my other "twin" sneaky is used also, and it was more like $350, but you'd have to ask the man yourself for a price cause I may be a little low (bad memory) :D

I consider a "Player" cue any cue that I have used for over 6 months. The longest I used one cue was a SW for 7 years, I'm currently using a mid 70's Gus Szamboti that has Rose wood prongs and butt sleve. Its worth about 6 or $7,000, i'm not really sure maybe less I really dont care what my player cue is worth, my collectable cues I'm very aware of what they cost. I played wit ha $300 cue for 5 years, I probably hsed that cue more than any other cue, I would still use it but the glue on the veneers in it cracked after 5 years and it is kinda falling apart. :(

I used to play with a Franklin SW previously owned by Brad Simpson, that is on the cover of the first Blue Book, is wrapless and has six long points... pretty rare. I don't know it's worth but it's too nice for me to take to the ph. Now I play with my prize Sailor with a Z2... worth maybe $700.

I met Brad at Lauries shop, just a chance meeting. then about a year later I saw him there a second time. I might go there 3 or 4 times a year so to run into him there twice was a long shot. We talked both time for about an hour, it was great.

I've got a James White that ran me in the neighborhood of $2200, a SouthWest that sells between $32-$3500, a Tim Scruggs that I was offered $1800 for, and my current Mottey is probably around $1500 or so. Yes, I play with all of them on a regular basis, depends on what I'm playing, table conditions, my condition etc...

I have 2 other Mottey's on the wall at other pool rooms that I use when I go there and I don't have to carry my case with me. If I remember correctly one of them was $5500 and the other was $1800 back in 1998 so probably new would be in the $26-$3000 range. My Wife has a $2200 Mottey and a $1500 Thomas Wayne.

He lives here in Galesburg... when he's not living in Thailand that is . When I started playing pool in 99 we were on the same league team for a couple or three years. We still play when I get my ass out of the house... which aint' often.

I play with my trusty Mezz PUJ-1 with HybridPro shaft. It cost me around $550 when I purchased it in Tokyo way back 2002.

All the rest of my custom cues gets played on rotation basis.

i played with 2 mcdaniel's(1500.00 and 400.00)1 custom and a mac attack
and used a mcdaniel jumpcue(125.00)

YOu mean you leave them in a locker in the pool rooms? that is a nice option, not sure if I would be able to leave mine tho!

My current player is a custom ebony full-splice, with an 11 mm tip and a 15 inch long pro taper, great looking and playing shaft. Weighs 19 ounces. At my request, there is no Schmelke logo on the stick. It looks like any house cue, but for the fact it's ebony and obviously toned down in appearance. They made it specially for me for the grand total, delivered, of about $175.

It's my fourth full-splice from them.

I have been playing with a Carmeli ($1150) and a Jacoby break cue ($350). I also use a Lambros ($3000) and a Blue Grass ($1100).

I play with a Pechauer 2007 Pro Series Pool Cues - PS02 which cost me 300$, and a break / jump cue I bought used from a friend at 60$. Haven't really decided to spend big on a cue yet.

I play with a Viking P6 with gorgeous ebony and ivory. I believe it was valued at over $1500 when they gave it to me. I also have an old Keith Kustom Kue with lots of ring work that I bought in the early 90's for around $2000. I sometimes use it for my break cue. :sorry:

My current player is a Ginacue, no points, BEM with a steel joint and linen wrap...with some fancy abalone rings. Replacement cost around $3,000. I've posted pics in previous threads HERE & HERE if anybody wants to peek.

I had THIS "fancy" Gina complete with inlaid shafts before it, but thought it was too fancy to use as a daily player.

I play with an ivory and cocobolo SW, worth about $10K. I fly over 50,000 miles a year with it and break, play, and jump with it.

(While I was typing the first paragraph, a friend just brought it to the office. I left it at the last tournement I played in. It was a VNEA open tournament, I got 3rd. After about a bottle of J.W. Black celebrating, I didn't even know I owned a cue.)
