Had to really push myself with that one cause I kind of like cats myself.

They were just light weights. If you really want to have fun, you use a stump grinder. Takes a little longer but leaves more evidence.

One thing I have learned over many years is that there is absolutely no substitute for eye ball to eye ball contact with the people in your industry if you want to call yourself a professional.

You need to look the people you only know via the internet, or on the phone, in the eye, talk to them, get to know them, size them up in person, see what they look like, look at how they dress, how they talk and comport themselves, drink with them, break bread with them, play pool, golf, racket ball, cards, or whatever with them. Something.

You cannot stay away.

You might also learn a thing or three you wouldn't otherwise ;-)

As to info who gives a shit?

If you really want to play I know more than you we can but you would lose. I dont go around hinting at shit on the internet. Thats why I know more than you. And you know what that gets me? Not a damn thing. My guess is I know who you are getting your info from and I can guess within one or two people who they got it from.

I know who talks to who, who hates what guy, who screwed what chick, who screwed over that guy and why you suddenly see something not the same as it was before. And none of it means anything at all. I would wager few people on earth have the contact list I do in the pool world. I do respect you Lou but please save this contact and look people in the eye bullshit for someone else.

I want to know my dollars are being spent on a fair competition. It's that simple. I go apeshit fascination watching the best of the best play their best. If savers and dumps are rampant - hopefully not TARS - and I know you go to every extreme to ensure otherwise - what are we to believe in?

Pool has been shuffling the kitty litter over the turds for how long? How low must the industry's bankroll go before people say enough is enough, and voices of reason are heard and change occurs?

I know I am p1ssing into a stiff wind. But the day of instant information might help change this culture.

I have been as outspoken as I can be where I stand on the subject. Griffin has as well. They dump or chop a TAR match they are barred forever. From TAR and CSI events.

I know exactly what you and others have been hinting at in this thread. Exactly. So either come out and say what you want to say or don't.

Your girl just hinted that my matches that I have busted my ass for years to build into a reputable brand may be fixed. Do you have any idea at all much that pisses me off? I know what you two are hinting around at here so either come out and say the shit or don't and quit casting rumors and innuendo around with no regard for who you catch in the mess.

I for one am just tired of giving a shit about pro pool or what the pros are doing. The people we put up on a pedestal are the ones who have been dragging this industry down. Professional players have shot themselves in the foot time and time again. I'm tired of caring about them. I have some good friends who make a living playing pool and I hope they don't get screwed... but the rest of them, I really could care less about.

Thank you for keeping your focus in reality. I am so sick of the threads that are along the lines of: I heard this, blah, blah, blah, but I am not telling anyone, and then someone else talks about the exact same thing and how they are not telling anyone and blah, blah, blah.

I personally do not give a shit about any of it. When it has some effect on my life then I will know about it. Until then it really makes no difference to me.

I am just so sick of the same people making posts about something they heard some night or other from someone that may or may not know and then all of these same people just continue to nuthug on each other while continuing to blah, blah, blah.

Personally I just want to tell all of them to shut the **** up unless they actually have something to say so that I dont need to try to filter through all of their crap to find some threads that are actually worthwhile.

So true, JCIN. Those, like me, who have watched the podcasts know that you and Mark are very outspoken on this subject and do as much as is possible to ensure the integrity of your events. Thanks to both of you for holding yourselves to the highest of standards in all respects. TAR is a product that has earned our trust.

They are an appetizer but there are lots. If I wasn't half starved on the way back in from fishing and grabbed a burger, I would have been at Grekos.

My mom loved Greek food, and before he passed away, she went to Greece with a group of other ladies her age and had a blast. Every year, we have three Greek festivals in the fall and in the spring at the local Greek churches. I drag Keith to them every year. I love those Greek chicken livers. That is what I *ALWAYS* get, and then the dolmades, of course. I've tried to make dolmades with fresh young grape leaves, but they didn't turn out good. I love that soup, the chicken-lemon avgolemono soup. Oh, my! If I was on death row, this would be my last meal. :grin-square:
