If you had a chance to play a race to 21 games with Johnny Archer,

I'd play him even. But it would probably be a steamroll so if there was a second set there would have to be an adjustment, depending on who won the first set.;)

How would you play him? Would you want games on the wire and weight, or just weight? Race to 21 games for $3000.00. Would you let him break or flip for the break? Winner break, or loser break? Playing him in your favorite pool hall too! Nine ball is the game in the race to 21!!!!
Regards,
Lock N Load.

If I had to play JA a race to 21 for 3K I would pay him the 3K up front and then let him watch me run out 21 racks while critiquing my play and giving me lessons.

Another awesom thread LOCK keep em coming,i would play Johnny even,13 on the wire,i probably wouldnt like it ,but i would play him that way!i would rather get a few balls playing 1 pocket but thats not the question!

Games are a lot stronger than balls with the top guys. You are assured of actually getting your weight. I may consider taking balls if the pockets were tight and the table was laying tough/wet/short.

Thank you, Richie....

People like you and several others on AZB make it worth while posting threads. I appreciate your response. I do not know if Johnny would like giving you 13 games on the wire. He, he, he.

Fine Sean, make fun of us, see if I care.
I have a good mind to make a call and send in one of our two Seal Teams
in an Official Canadian Naval canoe on your butt.

Our other Seal Team is a group of trained harbor seals from Sea World in Vancouver.

Oh wait. Damn. I almost missed an opportunity to razz ya (as Brian instructed me to do, whenever I can).

Ah, so Brian is pulling the strings eh?
Tell him that just bought him another VooDoo curse on his cue.

I'd try him with all the snaps & handspans. On any of my shots I can move the rock in any direction, the width of my hand as far as I can stretch it from thumb tip to pinky tip. Doesn't sound like much...but its an incredible hustle.;)

Ditto. This is an incredible spot. I have heard it called the straw also as sometimes the length of a straw is used when moving the cue ball.

That makes no sense at all... EVEN is EVEN. No handicap is playing even

Or...I'd play him even...he just has to shoot the 9 ball in a side pocket. I shouldn't share but thats one of the best locks I've ever seen. Of course you want to keep the nine on an end rail...thats the point as it makes it hard to shot and/or bank it in a side pocket. What you don't realize is what a complete foolproof lock it is...you can actually run down to the 8 and then foul every game & still win. No need to pocket any balls basically...just keep the 9 on an end rail...or better yet hung up in a corner pocket. You can be shooting the 8...stop and foul by shooting the 9 down and dog it up in a corner pocket. Give up ball in hand...they make the 8 & try some craziness on the 9 which leaves it for you to make at your leisure. Anytime you shoot at the 9 just roll it softly for the corner pocket. At any time during the game if the 9 comes out into the middle of the table...just foul & roll it back down. I beat a pretty sporty shortstop with this game & I even gave him 5 games on the wire in a race to 10...he couldn't post fast enough. After a couple games he said "I've seen some pretty good hustles in my day & this beats 'em all...go ahead & take down the cash, I'm done."

Hmm, ok I would play Johnny Archer even with one stipulation. He has to carry me around on his back while he's shooting. If he falls down or can't continue it's a forfeit of the cash. I would be very impressed if he could carry me around the table for 1 game much less 21.

Both of these are great spots , I would really like to see Archer play Keith Bennett on a 15 sec shot clock.

10 games on the wire. Wild 7, call 8, and the breaks. And I would have to be backed, seeing no way in hell I would ever have that much money. My bank account hasn't read over 1k in a long time.

With that spot, I'd get in the box.

id try him sum with .... bout 10 games on the wire ...... n alternate breaks..... if he gets with in 3 games i get the 6 out n all the breaks ...... he cannot push at anytime during the match ..... he he must call shots ... .... nnnn id hope to have 6k on me so i could frie 2 sets'

Now this is what I call a whole lot of weight!

I think you could win with no problem, with that format for yourself!

7 games on the wire
Winner breaks
Call the 9 (no slop)
Before each game, he can use a Dustbuster on the table if he wants.

If he needs any more weight than that, I don't know what else to tell him
