Introducing myself

Hello fellow pool fanatics, fans and groupies (j/k on the groupies part) :p

I have been playing pool since I was a wee boy of about 10-12yrs old. I joined the APA in (according to the APA website) 2000 and have been playing ever since.

In '02 I bought my first custom pool cue from a local maker by the name of Ron Trager. Last year, in April, that cue along with one other got stolen :( . I was crushed and am still heartbroken over the loss.

Anywho, I have recently started to rebuild my cue collection. Currently I own a Meucci '08 HP-3 and a McDermott B-10 (bought this just last night as an early birthday present, today I turned 37).

If anyone here is from the Kansas City Area, I welcome you to come up and introduce yourself. I play primarily at SidePockets in Gladstone on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.

Welcome. You'll find equipment and advise from the best here and it's all free. However, donations are welcome (you can join the club) and when you go to buy something it's cool to use the azb store.

Just a lil plug for the owner. He does need to make a living. :groucho:

I gotta tell you, I'm a little disappointed in seeing another Missourian joining this merry band of misguided, maladjusted, and misaligned pool players, who, in the few short months that I have been here, have become my friends. They are fine folks and uncommonly helpful.

Glad to have you aboard, you will find in short order that this place is very addictive. On those late an sleepless nights you will find yourself here finding whats new and gathering all sorts of information that can be more than helpful to your addiction. Welcome and Happy Birthday, congrats also on the new cue...

If you want to continue with that cue collection take a look in the "For Sale" and "Raffle" sections. A lot of great items and great people willing to help out.

Welcome Saige! I've not been to KC in a number of years but I remember several visits fondly.

I play at a room also called Side Pockets - in Richmond. Hope you enjoy the forum. There are good people and much to be learned by you and us!

Need to get going have to warm up for league tonight, we are fighting for a 4th place finish no time to slack off.
