Is that TONY ZINZOLAS HAND in my pocket

Ya know, some fights are still worth having even when if there's 2 guys versus you or when the other guy is just a whole damn lot bigger you are. You can sense the outcome but still you don't shy away or back down. You'll never know how the other guy will actually behave until you hit him. So I learned as a kid you had better land your best punch first because it could be the only punch you get to throw in some fights. So ya better make sure to hit 'em where it does the most damage.

Sometimes, not always but occasionally, you'll land a great punch and you walk away from with a big shitty grin on your face. You cannot be timid and hopefully, your opponent will bleed a lot more than you. Zinzola supporters may remain loyal to Tony and try defending him, cut him some slack, blah, blah, blah. That's absolutely pathetic and pure bullshit. It all comes down to the very heart & soul of this matter.............Absolutely no one should be allowed to get away with the shit Zinzola has done.

Sounds like Steve has a plan and I hope he's successful........there are times in life that the principle is worth the fight.........and I do not think this specific battle will turn out to be a Pyrrhic Victory either. Best of luck Tikkler.

I wouldn't buy one of his cues for any price. With his rep being what it is, it wouldn't be a cue that you could sell without taking a beating on. I have seen his cues for sale and all I can say is I am glad I am not trying to unload one. I hope it works out for everyone but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Been on there for a while. Nice looking cue but I have 0 interest in getting it. Well, unless it was an absolutely ridiculous deal. And I mean ridiculous. Steve, I wish you and the others the best of luck and I hope it works out for y'all.

Wow, Tony had some real momentum going & BOOM...self-destructed. He could have made a great name for himself. Now, he will be known...for the wrong reasons.

Robert Downey Jr. came back, and is making big bucks.

Hi,

That is true but the only one Downey was hurting was himself.

Being a cue maker and being a businessman are two separate skill sets. There is only one thing a business man needs to know "customer is the king" and you must do everything in your power to satisfy the customer no matter what!

I think the lesson learned here is never give or take a down payment when ordering a cue or building one. This way no one gets hurt. Payment only when the project is finished.

I truly hope all this gets resolved for all parties involved.

JMO,

Rick

It's never too late to do the right thing! Difficult yes... But possible! It's all in his hands

What is right thing to do ? I don't think he knows the different between right and wrong when he don't have a spine, who knows maybe that the way his mother taught him. He thinks what he doing is right because he feels We the buyer owes it to him because he builds cues. He have the nerves to ask third party to relate a message to another member here to take down the banner in order to get his cue deliver.

I can live with deposit but not when he come calling for help and ask for total cue balance to help him out and he knows full well in the back of his head he wasn't planning to build the cue order.
He even mention that he wasn't even planning to build my order until whenever because he got the full payment already until I have to push him. his M.O. is play that sorry A$$ story of his and try to get buyer pay 50% down the first year and the 2nd year comes around call the customer to tell them some story and ask to pay the rest of the balance and than he starts he excues of kids, family, his wife parent coming over from Japan etc....... than disappear.

I don't think that providing a reputable cue-maker a deposit (10%-20%-30%-40%-50%) is unreasonable and if it is, then the person ordering the cue doesn't do it. The issue at hand isn't the requirement of a deposit being unreasonable; the topic is a scumbag cue-maker. I will never do business with a bottom feeder like Zinzola.......I just ordered a 6 point ebony cue and it's being custom made with my inlay design (total of 56 ivory inlays), 5 veneers that I selected the colors, double boxed veneers with inlays in the butt sleeve, ivory ferrules, ivory joint and ivory butt cap, and 3 ivory & ebony Bushka collars.......my cue design is not going to be a simple, easy build.

What was my deposit requirement? The cue I ordered has to be made according to my design and that's extra work for the cue-maker who now has to accommodate what I sketched and also deliver the cue at 18.5 ounces which isn't going to be a cake walk when the cue-maker has to follow my sketch.........What if I don't like the cue when it's finished......what if I never contact the cue-maker again or just fail to pay for the cue...........how many hours would the cue-maker have invested building a cue that he now owns instead of me. He can always sell the cue but maybe not for the price I was quoted.......the cue-maker now bears all the financial responsibility which is completely unfair and improper as well.

Under general contractor law in California, there are requirements specified for progress payments on new construction projects for contractors.....10% down, 20% at stage one etc......and the final payment is held in abeyance until the customer signs off that the project has been satisfactorily completed. Building cues doesn't have to be that elaborate of a payment arrangement. It's fundamentally pretty simple and straightforward...down-payment & final payment.....that's all that's needed with a cue-maker.

The cue-maker I selected has a great reputation, delivers cues in a reasonable amount of time based upon the reviews on the Forum, and has been building cues for the past 30 years. Now I might write back next year that the cue-maker did me dirty but I genuinely doubt that would be the case. My cue will take 8 months to build and the cue-maker requested a $1,000 down-payment which was perfectly acceptable with me. The cue-maker has to cover the cost of his materials, spend many hours building my cue which undoubtedly is going to consume more time than just a typical cue build, and some would argue should not be paid anything until he completes the cue. Well, I think any cue-maker that would do that has to be naïve and a pretty stupid businessman.

The problem with Zinzola is he's a cheat, crook and liar........the deposit would have been inconsequential had Tikkler been dealing with an honest cue-maker. Let's not let this thread become a discussion of other cue-makers or deposit requirements etc. Tikkler is going that after him and maybe we should start a fund to prosecute Zinzola.....that's something that would be interesting to see come to fruition.

isn't that what you just did?

i think steve has enough funds to take care of that himself. but seriously, what gives? there are so many more charitable organizations to donate, causes that need funds to create some good, but here you sit at your desk, spewing such vitriol, attempting to round up troops to go after someone? spend that energy/money to support your local fire department, school, shelter. donate to cancer research.

c'mon now. steve and friends, i'm sure are capable. they don't need a conductor. as far as i can tell, you don't have a horse in this race, you don't have any financial ties to this.

Thief

On Monday my attorney will be contacting the district attorney for zinzolas area. We will get a full report on exactly what we need. I will keep everyone informed.

IF YOU WERE RIPPED OFF BY ZINZOLA PLEASE PM ME AND GET ON BOARD

This is NOT going to end well.
