I went to the community pool today an slipped off the diving board and ruptured the tendon that attaches from my lower leg to the knee cap. It completely seperated and is somewhere in my lower leg. My knee cap has now become a floater.

I have to have surgery on Tuday.

I don't know where I put this thread as I am on lots of vicadin right now, so if it's wrong feel free to move it Mike..

The doctors say that it will eventuallybe back to 100% though...

Sorry to hear about your injury. I went through the same thing three years ago (reattachment of the patellar tendon). Doc says it's stronger than before the injury. Hope yours goes as well.

Wow man that's a tough break! i had a fairly minor surgery about a year or so ago and it took a while to get back to 100%. you might be out of commission longer than you think.

good luck and try not to get hooked on the vic's

thanx

Sorry to hear the bad news. I guess we'll have to postpone our one pocket session some more. Heal quickly.

That is a bummer. I'm surprised to hear of a community pool that still has a diving board. I though the lawyers got rid of them long ago.

I severed my achilles years ago, and after the surgery and rehab was good as new.

Hope your back to full strength soon.

I almost called you today to see what you were doing.

I almost gave you a call today instead of going to the pool. lol....

Jaden,

That does sound like a pretty major ouch! I don't know much about reattaching tendons but don't push things until after talking to your doctor. You may be able to do more damage easily right now and complicate things. I shattered a shoulder and they fixed it good as new. I was good for the seven weeks my arm was in a sling playing one handed pool, the day the arm came out the sling I went and busted a ring game I had found while I was hurt that night!

Good luck with this and I'll be thinking about you.

Now that's something positive that you could do while you are laid up. Go and sit at Frank's table, watch and learn. I have heard he is considered one of the "Masters".

get well soon!

I'm sorry to hear. I hope all goes smoothly and that you are back at it soon!

i swear on my mom, i was justthinking of you before i opened AZ a few minutes ago, I read a article about how hard it is to buy ammo in Vegas. I know we been planning on going shooting and i'm just about to have the time to actually go. i'm sure sorry about your accident, call me any time if you need any copany-anytime. And be careful with the pills a bottle or 2 is ok,but more than that can start the physical dependancy and that isnt fun. if i cant take your call when you call(and i wil do my best) I will call you right back-i just have a few off hour meetings at nite now, were launching a new gig.

best,

eric 702-241-8000<------i hope you have saved that number aling time ago, but incase the phone went in the pool there it is again for you:grin:

I feel for ya! I slipped in the soda aisle at the grocery store early this afternoon and am in dread of how I'll feel tomorrow. I won't have to have surgery, though. Keep you chin up and I'll do the same!

I feel for you Jaden. I ruptured my Achilles tendon last year and it ain't no fun when you can't play Pool for months. Hope the surgery goes well and make sure to follow through with the physical therapy, you'll be amazed how much range of movement and muscle mass you can lose by not walking on a leg for a month or so.

Hang in there. Although it seems like forever before you'll be back it really will go quick.

Good luck.
