Rodney Rocket Morris is a US Open 10 ball champion. He recently defeated SVB 6-0 in the Wyoming 10 ball masters and won the Saratoga Masters beating Corey Deuel 9-7.
He is American and I hear has Filipino heritage as well as Hawaiian and Guamanian.
He would be a wonderful representative for us..

Jay Helfert has announced a 16 man invitational event to take place in Carson (suburb of LA) in February of 2015. CSI (and Mark Griffin) has nothing to do with this event. Other than we support it. (Way to go Jay!)
I have heard that some posters are blaming me because Rodney Morris was not invited. Just an FYI - I got nothing to do with it. (This is on pages that I have been blocked. Typical - call me names and blame me without being able to explain or defend myself).
Please get your facts straight. It is real hard to take people seriously when they spew inaccurate rumors!

I would like to see him invited too. In terms of American players, it would be nice to see Earl, Rodney, or Corey Deuel.
It would be cool if Alex P. showed up as well. So many great players and not very many spots!
Rodney deserves NO SPOT. When you treat tournament directors and the leaders of the industry the way he has he gets what he deserves, NO INVITES.
Maybe if these events do take off and when cry babies don't get invites, just maybe they will learn to straighten their act up, and younger players will definitely take notice to this as they could lose out on future invites for the same types of behaviors.
I see it as a win win situation. You keep the belly archers out, and you put the young ones on notice.

I only have one thing to say. Thank the good Lord for Ozzy representing CSI. What a stand-up young man, very business-like, and practices good business etiquette.
Jay Helfert has a right to invite whoever he feels like. It's just like Matchroom Sport and the Mosconi Cup. Everybody wants to dictate who they believe should be in the Mosconi Cup, scream for transparency, but it is an invitational, if you think about it.
The UPA was a black mark on American pool when it came to the fore, especially when the captain jumped the ship and abandoned the mess that he was responsible for creating.
Seems like there's a new black mark on American pool today. In this regard, it doesn't really matter anymore as far as professional pool, invitationals, et cetera. I thank the good Lord that I never quit my day job and did not invest any more in professional pool than I did. What a sad state of affairs!
And I don't blame the pro players, like most here are wont to doing. I blame the BCA organization with its blue-blooded industry members continuing to grease each other's palms while the professional pool circles the proverbial drain. SHAME ON THE BCA and its blue-blooded industry members.
Furthermore, the WPA gets their palm greased plenty. How come they don't step up to the plate and help professionasl pool in America by addressing this issue with the BCA? Instead, they go to banquets, fly to Qatar, and don't say a damn word about it. I don't understand why. :angry:

See, this is precisely why people like Jay should be in charge of putting together invitationals. He knows who to call. Just add Santos Sambajon and my name there and we have a great match! I would be like the gag-gift of the tournament, and I would have no problem with that distinction.
But wouldn't it be great if I jammed up Thorsten or left him weird consistently to where his tight shirts kept cutting of the flow of blood to his shiny head as he stretched to reach these awful shots and he just keeled over like a groomsman at a summer wedding. Aw yeah.... good times.
I hope Jay reaches out to Danny Busch and they hold this thing in either Hard Times in Bellflower or say in Largo Florida at Corner Pocket.... right there on Starkey Road just about a half mile south of Ulmerton on the west side of the road. I can make it there no problem, but I might need a private preparation area and space is tight inside the hall there in Largo, so I suggest renting me a giant motor home and some people to run out and get stuff for me so I am in the right state of mind for the matches. You know.... a goldfish bowl filled with green M&M's, a rough massage from a sweaty-palmed German physical therapist. The regular stuff that everyone expects to have when they have to focus.

As for Ronnie Alcano, he's been immersing himself in the pool scene around Manila, but I dont think he's not yet what he was like 2 or 3 years ago.
