5040 if nothing is pocketed on the break... to be exact.

In 8 ball- there are many patterns, and if you screw up speed control, you can just shoot another ball(provided you didn't just sink 6 balls and mess up position on the 7th), where in 9 ball, you screw up speed, your turn ends.
TheOne said:Can somebody give Earl a call, I'm not sure the match would finish but I think it would be incident packed!
I reckon Earl would play 8 ball, Snooker, and 14.1 if the cash was there.
I'd prob still fancy Hahn but wouldn't right off Earl

The IPT thought 8 ball on tight tables and slow cloth was the ultimate challenge. The best players certainly rose to the top so I'm surprised this is evening being debated. Add to that john's 14.1 skills and I'm surprised he hasn't bitten QH's arm off!

I was just thinking about this thread and remembered a few things you had said.
Are you taking off the last few months of the year to play some pool?
Will you be crossing the pond for some pool action?
It would be nice to see you in some pool action regardless of the game or opponent.

No interest playing Shane in the box????? TAR would televise it. Come on! 8 ball or 9 ball on the box is easy. Why not race to 100, winner breaks you versus Shane in the box. Say 50k US.chamillionare said:let it go joey lol
no i have new projects in the pipeline now that have been keeping me busy, i tried to offer fair games because i got a bit excited about playing but im not interested anymore i have bigger fish to fry. and if i want to gamble i can go to crown casino and play poker then drive home after alot more pleasant. but i do hope to try american pool one day and the only comps i want to see are derby and poss the big thing in vegas around june time so maybe ill see you there one day.

He has offered several all around matches that are fair, will show who has the most all around talent (the claim in dispute), and that have the American games with the "pissed on" skills in them. In fact, each challenge he offered had more American games than foreign ones.
I don't think you read my whole post (even though you quoted it) because it talks about where he already offered to play 8, 9 and 10 ball as well as snooker and English 8 ball, the very same games you say he has "pissed on." And he has also offered to play straight pool, snooker and 8 ball, again offering to play games he has "pissed on." He has very clearly offered to play all of the American games with all of the skills that he has "pissed on."
If his opponent will not accept his challenge you may not get to see it happen, but you can't say he didn't offer to back up his claims, because he did.

Jaden said:The IPT thought that eight ball would be more accessible and marketable to the general public in America because that is what most Americans associate with pocket billiards. They wanted it to be on difficult equipment in the hopes that there would be more mistakes and drama to capture the viewing audience. It didn't quite work out the way they wanted, probably because of KT's illustriously devious past more than anything because the networks didn't want to be involved with him.
Did you happen to notice that the post you responded to is months old?Jaden said:The point is that no American came on and said they could get as good as him in a week practicing snooker. He claimed that he has more talent than any American champion and in a couple of weeks of practicing could come here and beat up on the Americans for big money. Then he proceeds to say that he would only play eightball and snooker or even just eightball, a game he is already familiar with and has practiced.
I'm saying that to do that is NOT backing up what he claimed about being more talented than Americans and being able to practice an American game for a week and dominate the American scene. That's being a nit that has to have a lock on breaking even.
I am trying to be less abrasive now and that's why I'm not getting as fired up at this or anything else on the web as you should be able to tell from the language that I use, but Quintin is NOT backing up what he's said in the past.
