Just asked to have both my accounts deleted

Mike announced one time he would delete an account but not all the posts-not sure if that is still the rule.

A few years ago, Neil asked for the same. When they wouldn't delete his posts, he went back and manually edited all his posts, deleting the content.

So I'd say it's probably still the rule, unless a change has been made recently ;)

Russ, for what it's worth, I'd hate to see you leave for good. I, like many others I think, have considered it over the last few years but keep dropping in just to take a look. My participation is way down, though. Too many arguments from ass hats.

Based on the overwhelmingly negative responses in this thread, I just pulled the trigger with Mr. Wilson to confirm the account deletions. Gotta say I'm a little disappointed with a few of the posters here (such as HawaianEye) whose posts I generally enjoyed reading.

It just looks like a lot of people on here have let the toxicity of this environment infect their personality. Getting out of here will prolly help me concentrate on my game more than anything else.

Anyone who wants to actually talk pool, I'll be over at onepocket.org under the username "Pogue".

Nobody's gonna cry if you leave, but you will be missed, just like everybody else who leaves.

People disagree on this site all the time, hell, I have a guy who I consider a good friend, blocked because of our different political beliefs. Doesnt mean I dont respect him as a great human, I just dont need it for the stress reasons. I call him every time I'm in his area and we play pool.

I'd never met Jay H in person before last summer in Vegas, I was doing an extended stay of 3 months and he offered and I accepted to rent his place(now sold) for that time frame at a great price. Just goes to show a few of the situations on AZ that bring us together and make a great community no matter your views or speed.

It's a shrinking community and it would be a loss for you to leave.

I'm not one for drama.

I have nothing against you. I think most of your posts were spot on with the subjects at hand.

I was just wondering why the thread was continuing on and on.

Either one is gone or they aren't.

There is no need to keep the thread going forever.

This thread and the OP define the negativity of human nature, just like the 3rd grade.

When a 3rd grader does wrong, he blames others. The OP started this thread WRONGLY accusing Trent and in the end wants us to believe Hawaiian Eye is to blame?

In the 3rd grade, when one loses an argument, they run and lie to others. When people on AZBilliards lose an argument, they run to other places on the net and ***** about AZBilliards, one in particular ranted he was leaving here only to run to faceflop and start whining, seen it over and over, here the OP told us where he would be whining.

Learn how to reason with your fellow humans. When angry, forget the attacks, BREAK RACKS.

If you can't grow up, don't come back. (Now attack me with your 3rd account, I already know it exists.)

You are taking it entirely too seriously Russ but if you want to leave that's on you.

99% of the people on this forum aren't even familiar with whatever it is you are upset about. Chill out and enjoy the forum.

Short Bus Russ! I always liked that name, maybe even better than Toupee Jay :). I wonder how he got that name?

I could be wrong, but I think I remember Smorg giving him that name after a longtime argument between the two of them.

I don't remember who specifically gave him that name, but I recall the circumstances were that years ago Russ was very outspoken and bold, to the point of coming across as some type of authority in pool. He was then challenged regarding his pool playing skills, and it was asserted that he was probably only a "C player". I think that this probably did wonders for Russ's pool game. Because since we all have egos, I'm sure that the "Short Bus Russ" moniker and "C player" assertion probably lit a fire under him to practice like crazy to make sure that he wasn't anywhere near a C player.

Maybe I'm still in dreamland because I still find this forum to be a valuable resource. I have also participated in threads where there are severely dissenting opinions and some heated differences of opinion. And I've also been bothered by what someone has said to me and about me more than once. I most recently had a major problem on the Action forum with a regular on there who tried to pull a cheap con on me for $100. SO WHAT!

The good so outweighs the bad that it's not even close! There are so many knowledgeable people on here that you can get an answer to most any question, pool related or not. I've been enlightened on legal issues, medical issues, shipping issues and so much more that this is a go-to place for me when I have a problem.

To me, AZB is a microcosm of life, where you need to accept the good with the bad. On here, it's easy to avoid the bad by just not clicking on the link/thread in question. Problem solved! We can chose the threads we want or don't want to participate in. No one forces any of us to post on here, except our own free will.

This is a lot easier than real life where sometimes you can't avoid a conflict. It was pretty tough in the old days when I had a problem with someone in the pool room, especially when I might see them every day. You had to watch your back when that happened. On here, if I have a problem with someone, I just quit communicating with them.

In the past there have been times where I also grew a little tired of posting and took a break for days and even weeks. I didn't feel the need to explain myself to anybody when that happened. I just took a break! And guess what? The world did not shift on it's axis either. :D

As my wise little sister so succinctly put it on her license plate, "C'est la vie"
Well said Jay!
.....
I've never even tried the ignore feature.
The response to a post like Russ' around my way is usually......
Whaaaaaaaaa!:crying:
