Keith Mcready!!

IM not a DR but id guess Keith has Rosacea, a sort of skin condition I think. WC Fields had it too. It causes redness and bumps on the nose. If you make it past 45, you are 90% gonna have something-no big deal. Me I got Diverticulosis. It aint fun.

check out pt5 - pretty impressive!

That two rail kick is damn sweet!

That is the kick shot where Earl froze him to a ball and he kicked into the corner pocket and made the hit? That was awesome. I was looking at that shot like what is he going to do now and he just walked up and nailed it like he shoots that shot every day.

IMO, without players like Keith, The Miz, Siegel and many others, pool would not be as popular as it is today. Yeah, pool still has a long way to go, but these guys put it on the map with their great play and character. I do agree with JAM 100% that everyone has made mistakes in their lives...if you say you havent, then you are foolish.

It certainly is not your fault. I appreciate your kind words about Keith.

I don't understand why there is such hatred in this pool world, but I am finding more and more that there are quite a few who seem to derive pleasure from posting mean-spirited words, to include untruths. For whatever reason, that is forum culture, I guess. There's some good pool folks on this forum, to include you. :)

Jam,

I think it is jelaousy as much or more than hatred, some people cannot stand the fact that others are so much better at something and try to make themselved feel better by trashing and dragging down the others. It is Idiots like RunoutalloverU that make me hesitant to post here sometimes.

Take Care and God Blee you and Keith.

Now tell me again it wasn't what he asked.

I'm out you guys all have fun with a big groupie hug. ;)

Later.

I would say that about the only real response to this one is... "Life Happens".
Things happen, good and bad for a variety of reasons, and to insinuate that everything revolves around drugs, or alcohol, or whatever you can dream up along those lines, is proof to what existence you choose.
Sometimes things happen, accidents, injuries, kids, other things become priorities for a while, not all of it bad, just sometimes you actually can put something before pool.
How many people on here would put their kids on a pedestal before their cue?
Trying to downgrade someone else has less to do with their talent and more to do with yours, or more accurately, your lack of it, comparatively speaking.
The more talent someone displays, natural or learned, the more someone out there is going to rear their jealous head to get into the spotlight for that brief instant.
Drugs and alcohol, and anything else you may try to attribute the downword spiral, aren't the problem.... it's poolplayers that reinforce the negative aspects of the game that bring the seedy reputation to the game.
Everyone loves watching a high stakes gambling game, who enjoys watching a bottom feeder trolling around for someones lunch money?
Personally, if you aren't at least a short stop, don't get off the bus until you can learn the ropes. Until then, how can you consider yourself knowledgeable enough to throw out an opinion about something you can only see from across the room?
I'm not denying there are bad things affiliated, but I don't believe they outweigh all of the good times, friends, competition, personal achievements and education that arise from the game.
We've had some amazing players, but better ones are going to be coming along learning from the best of our time, and it will repeat as long as there are great players for them to emulate.
Keith is one of those guys they already want to be, so I guess what happens to those guys?
They create younger versions to carry on-

Watch out - Pii is a stalker. I gave him red rep, and now he's spouting crap to me in PM form. Best to just leave this wingnut alone, otherwise you too could end up facing the wrath of Pii.

When I worry about someone with nothing better to do with their time, than to attempt to add me to their miserable existence, I will personally go out in public, with a large audience, and kick my own ass!
I don't know where in the continent he is, but if he wants to play on my side of the world, I'll even cover the table time.
If Marty Herman doesn't phase me, how could this moron? lol
Although I'd probably have to bet on Marty if the two ever played.... sad to say-

Thanks for the heads up though!

Jam...

Jam, don't let the trolls get you down honey cause when they do, they win and you just get frustrated...And nobody with any sense wants to see this. I've kept quiet for a long time but its time to start speaking I think. Of all the pool players out there, I, myself only have a few favorites. Mine have always been Jeanette Lee, Johnny Archer, and last but not least, your man Keith Mcready! I have yet to have the sincere pleasure of seeing 2 of my 3 favorites play in person, but I have played Jeanette Lee and had the BEST time. Maybe someday soon (hopefully) the economy will get better and pool will become the sport it once was, and hopefully Keith will come out of "retirement" so I may watch him play sometime in person. In closure, let the trolls speak their little minds cause it means nothing...Just adopt my philosophy, I say I have mind over matter...I don't mind cause YOU don't matter. Take care hun, Jeff

p.s. Please tell Keith that whether or not he knows it, he still has loyal fans out there who DO like him and love to watch him play when they have the chance to...And for me, I feel its his obligation to play again cause of the talent the man has. Man...I'd love to see him play in person and possibly talk him into a game and get an autograph from him, he's awesome!

it is cowardly to hide behind computer screens - most people that are cold online wouldn't have the nuts to say what they do to the very person's face they insult. just know the guy is not all that happy himself or he wouldn't be so rude. this thread was not about how someone looks or doesn't look, it was about talent and Keith has plenty to share with others. don't let this bother you, it is not worth the negative energy.

A lot of men change in mid-life. Some hook up with twenty year old gold diggers to try and keep their youth alive. Some buy sports cars, boats, or other things to atract attention too themselves. But most change for better or worse in a big way.

I am in no way saying that I was a name brand like Keith is. In fact I'm just a nobody that drank, did drugs, stole, robbed, cheated, and conned people out of their money most of my life. When I started feeling bad for the people I hurt when I turned forty, I became a nurse to try to give something back. I could have made a lot more money in the jewelry fingings trade or even as a mechanic, but I didn't really like money anymore.

After 15 years as a nurse and retired now I can honestly say I'm more proud of my last 15 years than my first 40. Of course I had more fun in the first 40:smile: . Johnnyt

That's a wonderful post John.
But please, even though you've changed for the better, please keep them funny stories and your unique way of describing mayhem coming. For me, you're one of the main draws here.

Also, I never had a sister. There are 4 brothers in my family. But, if I had a sister, I would want her to treat me as nice as Jennie has. I always say that if she were any sweeter to me, she'd give me a cavity!

JAM and Keith have been around the block. Unfortunately, they know that when you're as popular as they are, there's "bulls-eyes" on their backs. It's a shame, but it's also a fact. That they still stick with those of us who genuinely appreciate them is to their credit and says much about their steadfast love for our great sport.
