take your time

hi,

getting a cue as a present for someone else is a bold endeavour ...

i get fussy about water glasses that i get as gifts :) so take your time...

it's your money and your gift... don't feel the need to rush and even though it is something you wish to do as a surprise, given the amount you are going to be spending, if you have a doubt, check with him to see if it's what will make him happy ... you get to buy him the cue, he gets what he wants and hopefully it will be a very merry christmas for you both...

wishing you all the very best,
kam

that is funny, be careful it is kinda like the lady that walks into a car repair place and the price skyrockets!lol even if you do not buy from us we will give what we consider a retail then wholesale price on what you are looking at and the real # will be somwhere in between! but we do need to know shaft sizes /condition/ straightness/ and be careful of out of country buys right now, because the fish and game is grabbing cues right now ! just make shure the shippers know of the chances they take! alaska has been getting them for a while and now the gentleman that was repo ing the cues is located in KY.!! good luck

Rep to you for doing a good thing for your hubby. I wish my wife would think like you!!!!

I have no financial interest in this, but I would offer my recommendation to you that you buy a cue that is one of the legendary dead cuemakers AND has a paper trail to prove it. Good luck and thanks for the big LMAO at the $5,500 Meucci. That was classic.

Hey Trina's Wiena's! That's what we used to call my sister when she was young. Oh well, onto the point I'd like to make. There are few cues ever made that my wife could spend any amount of money on that would make me happy. Great cues are like cats. You don't pick them, they pick you. I'm not telling you what to do, but I think there's a lesson in there somewhere. The real deal is that unless he's a collector only, there is simply no way of knowing whether any cue is the cue of a lifetime without hitting with it.....for a while!

Of course, you could do what we were talking about earlier.....buy a bluegrass. Then go on a vacation with the rest of the money.

Trina, you sure know how to get a lot of guys excited !!

good luck with you purchase

If he's a regular AZer he's probably goint through withdrawls.
No collection is complete without a Gus Szamboti.

Sorry I am late to the ball.. but I am not desperate and I am not a pouncer. We may have a few in your budget, I recommend that you seriously try and find a Szamboti, or Bushka in that price range. If you cannot find one of those, you'll have a lot to choose from, regardless of where you buy it.

Good luck in your search...

Thanks everyone for all your input. I have chosen a Searing cue, 4 points with inlays. I think he will like it. My friend that knows cues has been in contact with this particular person that has this cue and I am going to pay him to drive to Brentwood Ca to inspect it and if all is ok purchase this cue. Again, this is for a Christmas gift to him and thank you all for all your help. I have banned him from logging onto here unless I am with him because we have 2 custom cues being made for us and we need to keep in contact with the cuemaker. So if you see him online, tell him he is a Scrooge and his butt s mine and I will just keep this cue and play with it on my womens league:thumbup:
I would edit what you bought him incase he does log on!! lol Good choice on a collectable and invetment type of cue! best wishes on a Merry christmas. and its wonderful you love you husband enough to seek out what he is passionate about.and try to fulfill his dreams .your a good wife! bill
