Madisonbob Untrusting Client Snowmon34

Why do you take offence to a statement about being a jew?
I think you should rephrase, "about being a jew" to "about being Jewish". Completely different contexts....

but I'm jus' sayin'......

Not Jewish, but equal opportunity....

Ah, I see...

The 'n' word is a derogatory word. If you are Jewish, why don't you try asking some of your elders how the term came about.

I happen to be Dutch. Dutch are known for being 'cheap'. I take that as a compliment. Which it is. A lot of the Dutch are very frugal. Nothing at all wrong with that. Why do you take offence to a statement about being a jew?

this is just your Dutch courage speaking:) . Tomorrow you may be bit more sensitive:confused: .

MM...now I'm drunk:eek:

I was actually thinking we could have the "Jap vs. Japanese" debate... which is appropriate?

Maybe it would have been more appropriate to say he was trying to "Trudeau him down"....:D

Read this it explains it pretty well. Hopefully you'll clue in.

Why do you think the N word was not originaly derogatory? It was. The blacks were looked upon as closer to apes than people. That's why the whites didn't have too much of a problem with slavery. (And yes, they were very wrong).

How far back are you going because I don't think you are going far enough. You're speaking in terms of American slavery but it goes a lot farther back than that. The term comes from the Dutch and German word neger. It eventually became distorted into the word used today.
In it's original form the word just meant black.

Same thing I said, different perspective. So to you, and that person, anybody that tries to get a lower price is trying to steal it? Nope, your persons statement holds no water with me at all. Nor is it historically accurate. End of subject for me. Time to go to bed.
Actually, it is historically accurate. I know my history extremely well. I suggest you research what you're saying. You'll be hard pressed to find anything that supports "jewed me" as a pro-semitic statement, now or at any point in history. It was used as a pejorative term then, it's still used a pejorative term. It is not appreciated.

Gesan, I can only speak for myself but I will try to answer your question. I happen to feel the other cuemaker being referenced has NOT given the effort that he should have to satisfy his obligations, and has not handled his situation well at all.

The key difference though is that the other cuemaker accepts full responsibility for his shortcomings and has promised to make everything right, albeit much slower than he should. Because of this I am "cutting him some slack," instead of bashing on him for his downfalls and the lack of speed and effort in which he is getting it handled. At a certain point though enough will be enough and the courtesy of the extra patience being shown to him will wear thin if not taken care of.

Now Mr Griffin on the other hand is not accepting any responsibility for a situation that is entirely his fault, even if it were beyond his control. He is choosing to be difficult to work with, and is trying to work the deal so that all of the inconvenience will lie on the customer instead of himself. In fact IMO, he is even trying to scam Snowmon34 for more money so that the customer ends up helping to cover any costs or inconveniences resulting from problems that are his.

thanks for your attempt to explain the differences (in the tone of the responses) I hear what you're saying. It seemed to me that in the other case in question the tables were turned with community support making the guy who posted look like he was somehow wrong.

I have been reading every word of this. Lets not start a new contraversy.
We've talked of grammer, writing, reading, run on sentences, no paragraphs. I read of being PC of which I am a big fan. I have made my decision of who I will and will not do business with in this thread.

I have learned a great deal about my AZ family. Someone even sniped about stealing but so far there has been no mention of criminal behavior. If Dale has to go the legal route. His best path will be small claims court. IMO

Small claims court cost about $100 to file the claim, depending on the court, and they offer no guarantees. The only one that will get money for sure is the court.
