Not Jewish, but equal opportunity....

Neil said:The 'n' word is a derogatory word. If you are Jewish, why don't you try asking some of your elders how the term came about.
I happen to be Dutch. Dutch are known for being 'cheap'. I take that as a compliment. Which it is. A lot of the Dutch are very frugal. Nothing at all wrong with that. Why do you take offence to a statement about being a jew?
I was actually thinking we could have the "Jap vs. Japanese" debate... which is appropriate?JoeyInCali said:Polish jokes anyone?

Neil said:Why do you think the N word was not originaly derogatory? It was. The blacks were looked upon as closer to apes than people. That's why the whites didn't have too much of a problem with slavery. (And yes, they were very wrong).
Neil said:Just referring to the American use of the word.
Actually, it is historically accurate. I know my history extremely well. I suggest you research what you're saying. You'll be hard pressed to find anything that supports "jewed me" as a pro-semitic statement, now or at any point in history. It was used as a pejorative term then, it's still used a pejorative term. It is not appreciated.Neil said:Same thing I said, different perspective. So to you, and that person, anybody that tries to get a lower price is trying to steal it? Nope, your persons statement holds no water with me at all. Nor is it historically accurate. End of subject for me. Time to go to bed.

The key difference though is that the other cuemaker accepts full responsibility for his shortcomings and has promised to make everything right, albeit much slower than he should. Because of this I am "cutting him some slack," instead of bashing on him for his downfalls and the lack of speed and effort in which he is getting it handled. At a certain point though enough will be enough and the courtesy of the extra patience being shown to him will wear thin if not taken care of.
Now Mr Griffin on the other hand is not accepting any responsibility for a situation that is entirely his fault, even if it were beyond his control. He is choosing to be difficult to work with, and is trying to work the deal so that all of the inconvenience will lie on the customer instead of himself. In fact IMO, he is even trying to scam Snowmon34 for more money so that the customer ends up helping to cover any costs or inconveniences resulting from problems that are his.

We've talked of grammer, writing, reading, run on sentences, no paragraphs. I read of being PC of which I am a big fan. I have made my decision of who I will and will not do business with in this thread.
I have learned a great deal about my AZ family. Someone even sniped about stealing but so far there has been no mention of criminal behavior. If Dale has to go the legal route. His best path will be small claims court. IMO
