Mike Dechaine 32 MPH break

love the way the one flew straight off the table!!.....monster break though;)

That's pretty strong...I saw Hillbilly Charlie Bryant knock one of the corner balls off the table breaking 8 ball in the IPT...I think that one was clocked at around 38 mph.

I don't break 33 in one of my matches. In ten ball I am breaking the balls about 22-24 mph with a one foot hop of the cue and I park it in the center of the table. I believe, for my break, the hop is ever important to the ten ball break. In nine ball, depending on how they are racked, i usually break form the side rail 25-27 mph.

and trust me. It has nothing to do with how hard you hit them. It all about how they are racked. I will have all the info up on my website within the next two months.

i have never been clocked.

You're one of my favorite young guns to hit the pool circuit, Mike. I love it that you post here on AzBilliards. You're an asset to this sport. Keep up the good work. :)

A serious question for Mike: I saved the subject video & watched it frame-by-frame. I noted that you share all of the common traits that all hard breakers do (i've analysed a LOT of break videos):

1) chest lift on backswing
2) elevate cue on backswing
3) tucked elbow on backswing
4) elbow releases (cue drops) & wrist snaps on forward

Was this technique natural to you or did you study & employ it?

I have to say that is natural. But I have watched the video and broke it down. I now realize how and why I do the things I do. I think that is very important in this game just incase you don't feel it one day.

I was with Corey Deuel at BCAPL when he broke 33MPH twice in a row and kept the CB on the table both times.

I wish I could see that, cause it seems unlikely. And um...Empire State...??? Was Corey giving Mike the 7 in the finals? Ha ha...not sure what you're aiming at here lol.

LOL where and when.

Seriously?
I think you'd get a lot of action with that spot.

You guy's are kidding right?

I thought it was pretty obvious that I was referring to the break shot (which is the topic of the thread) when I said he gives the 7. I didn't mean it literally. lol

Nope .... not obvious. You said what you said. In print you have to say it CLEARLY.
