Mike Sigel - 21 straight games.

I don t think that someone expected that he lost his abilities. Sigel still is one of the greatest players on this planet. All of those champions are still able to shoot like hell- if they feel good and if they *want* it.

Just my opinion:)

lg from overseas,

Ingo

I know Sigel is an awesome player, but I wasn't able to see many videos of him playing. Anyone got any links?

In the match last night vs Wilkie I can only remember one time that Wilkie had a shot at a ball. Sigel was either running out or locking him up with brutal safeties, after which he ran out.

This is INCREDIBLE and I hope to witness the next match which should be on the www.poolactiontv.com "TV table: .

Do you know how "impossible" it is to win 29 games in a row playing ten ball? This is possibly the most incredible streak I have ever heard of or seen.

Mike is playing well and his opponents are either getting bad rolls, not playing well enough or just simply SOL.

IF YOU EVER WATCH A MATCH THAT WILL BE SOMETHING FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS, YOU SHOULD WATCH SIGEL'S NEXT MATCH, JUST SO THAT YOU CAN SAY, I WAS THERE WHEN MIKE SIGEL'S INCREDIBLE RUN FINISHED.

I wish I was doing the commentary for this next match. I've had plenty of good conversations with Mike Dechaine and would have a lot to chat about. LOL

OK, I've done my good deed for the day. Enjoy history in the making.

The next match will be Sigel and Dechaine (both undefeated) but Sigel not only has 4 victories in a row but has the most incredible streak in TEN BALL EVER. He has won 29 games in row. No game losses whatsoever.

The match will be livestreamed in a few minutes at www.poolactiontv.com click on Seminole Pro Tour and log into the chat room to "chat" or not.

It is HISTORY IN THE MAKING.

Wow. I really hope Mike takes this down undefeated in all aspects. I highly doubt it will be without a single loss, but, that would be something wouldn't it?

The streak is finished. 30 games in a row without a loss.

Dechaine now leads the match.

Led the match! Sigel now up one game. Putting on a clinic. This is like watching an old accu-stats tape!

If I owned the rights to it I would package that whole run of 30 games and sell it. They would have some buyers.

It's good to see Sigel back playing, I hope he becomes a regular at these tournaments.

He is exciting for pool. We need to find him a chewing gum sponsor.

BTW, good job with the interview Al!

MENTOS WOULD BE A SWEET SPONSOR....

The commercial comes on to show mike hooked b/h a stack of balls.....he can't figure it out....

He goes to his case and pops a mentose....walks up to the ball and kick jumps the CB off the rail and pockets the 1/9 combo in the side

MENTOS....THE FRESH MAKER

It's in a town called Frederick, Maryland, and the name of the room is Champions. Fredericksburg is in Virginia. Don't want you getting lost, my friend. Take the Beltway to I-270 and just go north to Frederick, MD. The shopping mall the pool room is in is about a quarter mile from I-270. Easy to get to.

Last time I was there, they had Gabriel tables in the back room, but this was back in 2006. I did hear that Mike Sigel was the House pro there.

Gary Allen runs the joint, and his dad is a friend of mine from years ago. Good people who really enjoy pool and know how to make it work well for the patrons. I really admire the Allens.

Interestingly, in 1986, Richard Allen had a Champions in Silver Spring, MD, which hosted the 1986 Maryland State Championship. I ran the tournament, and only Maryland residents were allowed to play in it.

I can remember answering the phone one day when somebody inquired if there were any spots left. I replied, "Yes, we have a few spots left, but you have to be a Maryland resident. Do you live in Maryland?" He said, "Yep, Towson." I said, "Good. What's your name?" "Mike Sigel."

When news of Sigel competing in the tournament spread, the spots left in the tournament filled up the same day. Everybody wanted to be there to see Mike Sigel. He was, after all, at the height of his pool-playing career. It also was the same year the movie, "The Color of Money," came out. Sigel had "CPT HOOK" on his Maryland license plates. When he pulled up out front, somebody came running in the back, "He's here. He's here. Sigel is here." LOL

Sigel won, Cigar Tom was runner up, and "Teddy Bear" Wilson was third.

Richard Allen on the left with son, Gary, on the right. :)

Cool story. Pool needs guys with personality like Sigel. There are some great players with a personality as dry as a popcorn fart.

agree here-

there are so many excellent pool-players around. but not many have a character which polarizes. Sigel still polarizes- when i remember the chat yesterday where a guy really drove crazy about Sigel.................i really was close to think that Sigel killed the whole neighbourhood of that guy- ROTFL
I enjoyed watching him playing- he still has it-perhaps not on 10/9ball like in straight-pool-but for sure still much more worth imo than watching boring other guys.

Champions in Frederick is selling a bunch of those tables - $750 each I hear. Mike Sigel does not like those tables much. They are replacing them with Gold Crowns. I wonder if Sigel had anything to do with this .

I couldn't believe it when I saw them there, knowing Richard Allen, but I guess it was Gary's call. Maybe they got a good deal on a bulk price for a bunch of 'em.

You can't go wrong with Gold Crowns or Diamonds. They should have both, IMO!

I think they're Gabriels. Personally, I didn't think they played THAT bad. But then again, I only hit about 8 balls before Mike ran something like 150 --- while shooting 1 shot.....explaining the outcome, what he likes/dislikes, what's trouble and should be shot-off ASAP and where he wants to go from there.

Then, he's shoot a shot.....explained the outcome, what he likes/dislikes, what's trouble and needs to be removed ASAP and where he wants to go from there.......(you get the idea).

The guy never hit "the zone" because he was commentating himself on every shot - talking through the entire rack shot after shot.

Whoever thinks this guy can't teach is crazy. I learned so much, I don't even know where to start. Now, for someone looking to learn "how to bridge" or how to "get into a stance" --- I can't answer that. But, if someone is looking 14.1 info (which was my thing), this guy is a gold mine. Just for kicks, I asked about banking (because that's my thing too) and he opened up another vault of info.

Whoever is driving distance from Mike Sigel and doesn't corner him for knowledge (which is dirt cheap, imo), they're craaaazy.
