I was wondering what happened to him.... I always enjoyed what he had to say(type) Lot's of good stuff. What happened? did he just get fed up with all the BS and drama that seems to go on here lately? Or did he get chastised for something and said to hell with it?
 
sadly he wont be back anytime soon, its alot deeper than the BS here. He is a great guy and a good friend, I'm gonna call him tomarrow.

He has decided to quit posting here, or any other poolforum, for reasons I can understand. I will not go into details about it, but it turned ugly.

He said he will probably lurk now and then, so there is a small chance he will read this thread.

His posts are missed, that's for sure...
 
I also spoke with David, a week ago, and understand why he quit posting. It's sad when someone who had contributed so much here, and to the game, feels more like dropping out, than having to put up with some of the b.s. that goes on here on the Internet. Best of luck Blackjack...you know I've always got your back!

I am deeply and truly saddened by the news that you and Eric and Roy bring about David. He was really one of the main reasons that I became enamored of az. I will miss his intelligence and respect for the game and for life. If I ever have time in Florida visiting him will be among my top priorities.

(moving from the thread revealing Eric Crisp's newest creation to this news really has the emotional pendulum swinging madly. Well.... it's time to get up out of this chair and get that pendulum back to the middle by playing some pool with my Sugartree!..... and while doing that I'll think about how David might play some the shots.)
 
What is the status of Dave's straight pool instructional book???

I read his 9-ball book, and it was tremendous. I would love to purchase the straight pool version. Help.
 
Blackjack is phenomenal

I will say that Blackjack is probably the nicest gentleman I have ever had the pleasure to communicate with on any forum.

He made one of my best friends a tremendous offer to help him with his pool career. He sponsors events (eg, the 10,000 ball run), and goes out of his way to assist anyone.

Blackjack, you will truly be missed. I hope that you will be back in the not too distant future.

Please offer Dave the privacy he is asking for and deserves by not continuing the conversation with any info pertaining to his absence.

I don't post very often however I do spend alot of time reading just about everything on AZ. I always looked forward to your posts and videos, they have helped me tremendously and your input will be sorely missed.
As a member of the (semi) Silent Majority on AZ I want to thank you for all your insights and instructions of this game.
I wish you the best in whatever direction your life has taken and hope (for totally selfish reasons:) ) you will find your way back to this forum.

Blackjack, in my opinion, is the most valuable poster on AZB. It makes me sick to my stomach that the actions of a small select few can be so hateful and vindictive that it chases off one of the most informative people on this board.

I learned more from his posts than anyone else. He has a gift with posting informative threads.

COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! No one listens to those other people, no one.

Blackjack does this all the time. He swore off forums a couple years ago becoz `forums have outlived their usefulness` :frown: :rolleyes:

Dave, You said all that I would have said myself. Great post, I totally agree. DS is the bomb, he will be missed but I respect his decision.

So...AZB is diminished again, big time. Dave, just wanna say thanks for the years of your wisdom you've shared with us. Hope to meet you personally sometime....sorry to see you go, and thanks again.
