Jay, you knew damned well that by asking this question, you were going to resurrect the Corvette/Jam wars that were going on a couple of weeks ago!
How could you not see that your question could lead to anything but this inevitable result?

Am I right that the first half is on ESPN and second is on NBC?

To keep this pool related, playing that tricked up course would be as fun as shooting straight pool on a 5 X 10 snooker table.

Yes, ESPN got the 1st 2 hours, NBC picks it up after that. It will be fun to watch the gallery shifts for a 2-man event!

The good thing about my job is that I have a big screen here on the wall right outside my office. Needless to say, I will be in front of it all day while getting nothing accomplished at work.

Jay, in regards to your U.S. Open thread,

It would be nice to read an update of the event, as opposed to a person's experience of seeing one golfer, out of many, named Tiger Woods playing golf. LOL! Threads like that don't offer much by way of information.

Thanks to all of you! I'm still not sure why it got moved. If anyone had taken the time to read it, they would have seen it was more about pool at FastMikies then anything else. Oh well, maybe someone(?) was having a bad hair day. I do from time to time looking for my missing hairs.

yes, we can. Rodney King was a model citizen with great intelligence.

On saturday I was with two cops that have BOTH arrested Rodney on seperate occasions. RK has had many run ins with the law. Now he is going to be on Celebrity Rehab I think!

Both said that RK is easy to arrest now

Interestingly we were discussing the beatdown and it was only the last four strikes that placed the officers over the line. I told them that was crazy.
Normally I don't like to hang with cops but both of these guys are really cool.

I wasn't jumpstarting anything, just being humorous among a lot of people that have no humor. I will refrain from posting upper lever humor in the future as those that don't get it will tattle on me.

Did anybody see the thread I started yesterday entitled The U.S. Open? It seems to be missing in action. Yes, I did talk briefly about going to see Tiger play, but it was more about visiting and playing pool at FastMikies Funhouse in Del Mar. I wanted to pay tribute to a good guy and a great host, who is really into pool.

I'm not too happy that this thread is gone. I don't start many threads, and when I do I have a reason for it. I'd like an explanation why this thread was deleted. It had quite a bit to do with playing pool at FastMikies, so it was very much on topic.

Thats nothing jay, i started a thread in a golf forum last week and i guess it was a dumb question so they LOCKED up the thread. So now all i can do is sit there and stare at my post and the 1 reply i got and thats it. Its driving me friggin nuts

I normally dont post much on AZ but I read alot of stuff here on the forum everyday.

And its funny to me that Jay ask a question about his post and the SUPER MOD came in the thread to warn to posters in the thread.

HE STILL HASN'T GOTTEN A ANSWER TO HIS QUESTION super mod...... I thought thats what the MODS were here for to control the forum and answer questions when and when not ask in a respectful manner. But I guess the SUPER MOD only comes out to bow-up when not needed.

When my NPR thread was deleted the mod PM'ed me. Everything that a moderator or administrator does is not in the public eye. Also there are threads started by other people about the US Open golf tourney in NPR too. I don't know where they started but if some threads about the US Open were moved it would hardly be fair to leave others.

As I mentioned to Jay in my first post, I think his thread would have stayed on the main forum had he titled it differently and talked about the pool as the primary subject and the golf tournament as the secondary subject. His thread starter was much more pool related than many threads that stay on the main forum but his title and opening paragraph indicated that golf was the main focus of his post.
