Morris vs Bartam for 20K, who do you like?

How is Chris's 10-ball break. I couldn't find any videos of either player playing 10-ball. As far as Rodney not having a monster break, maybe he does now. Has anyone seen him play 10-ball lately? Johnnyt

.....The ten ball only counts in the bottom four pockets for both players.[/QUOTE]

Justin,

I am assuming you mean the two corners from the breaking end of the table and the two sides.

If someone is giving odds I will take Rodney. The line seems to be that the weight is too much so I will try some for a hundred with some odds, 3:2 seems fair - my hundred against your one fifty.

PM me if you want the bet.

I asked CB how good he plays in another thread. I will reserve judgement until I get that answer...;)

This is a tuff one. RM is World Class and CB is just a spot behind...for now.

I no bet.

Even

Well if watching Chris play Stevie Moore on TAR is any indication of the way he will fair against Rodney I believe the spot is correct and it is an even game.

Stevie just tortured Chris and I have to believe Stevie and Rodney is an even 10 ball match-up. So, Chris needs a decent amount of weight.

I also think the contrast is styles will be fun to watch _ Chris grinding over every shot to make sure he does everything right and Rodney just walking around the table like it is practice getting out from everywhere. Should be fun.

stevie would have tortured who ever he played in that match.

correct

stevie would have tortured who ever he played in that match.

I was thinking the same thing when I finished writing the post. Stevie played perfect or as close to it as possibly. Just break like you did against Mike D. and everything will work itself out.

Looks like everyone who wants to bet only wants to bet on Chris.

To get a bet, ill take Rodney getting 6/5. Just sweats bets please, this game is too tough to bet any serious dough on.

i will take chris in this match and appleton even in the other match. you have to bet on both matches. $20-$100. pm me if interested. thanks.

Yes. The ten ball does NOT count on the break if goes in the corner pockets on the racking end of the table. It does count as a win if it goes in either side pocket or either corner pocket on the breaking end of the table.

Not arguing the point, it's just that I didn't know Rodney was known to have a monster 10-ball break.

He's not known for a good 10-ball break. In fact, during the Diamond Open 10-Ball event in Valley Forge, Rodney was talking with Shane about his troubles with making a ball on the break in that format. So Shane gave him some pointers and Rodney went to the tournament room about 2-3 hours before his first match the next day to practice it. In that match he still came up with less than 50% for pocketing balls on his break.

Rodney is a very strong player and maybe Chris doesn't have a HUGE 10-ball break (I really don't know) but I DO know that Chris knows A LOT about the rack and just knowing which balls you need frozen to make certain balls in certain pockets will get you very far in a 10-ball break.

ill take rodney, pm me if interested, sweat bets only, up to $200. ill be there to watch the match.

I gotta admit I don't quite get this. So ten on the snap does not count if it's done with a controlled break that uses knowledge of the rack and a little skill to send the 10 into the foot pockets... but it DOES count if it's kicked in by shit luck to the other pockets?! Why not just forget about 10 on the break entirely if the goal is to make things fair?

PS. Don't take it the wrong way, I love TAR ten ball matches :) I just feel like I must be missing something on this.

I play that it dont count on the break with a guy i gamble with.

I dont want to win or lose that way.

Our tournament here in town plays that it counts in every hole on the break.
