Ok, who do you think will be the 8 names on the list that Matchroom will let you choose from, and who do you think will be chosen?

I think these 8 players will be available to vote on, and I think Earl Strickland will get most votes.

Earl Strickland
Rodney Morris
John Schmidt
Charlie Williams
Shawn Putnam
Donny Mills
Charlie Bryant
Stevie Moore

We all know that it really doesnt matter though, Team Europe will win anyway

Shawn P says Earl's not on the list.

Ok. I had to check, and a little bird whispered in my ear that Earl is not on the list, so my prediction failed miserably.

Oh well...

I think Stevie Moore would be a great member for Team USA, and if not Rodney Morris or John Schmidt.

Just don't forget to bring the Cup....

Roy,
Let the smack-talkin' begin! Good opening salvo on your part!
It made me smile.

The way I see it, you fellas on the other side of the pond will have a loooooong ride home. But without the weight of the Mosconi Cup trophy, the airplane should fly a little faster.

That's not a little bird, that's a pterodactyl with the runs dropping the bomb!

I'll believe it when I see on Matchroom's site!

That's a shocker times ten!

To be honest...

My vote goes to Mr. John Schmidt.

I believe he is due to enter in the Mosconi Cup for the experience. If he loses, he can at least have the idea about how that works and build the confidence to become a better player. After he enters this, win or lose, this will determine where his motivational level goes. What I mean from this is that if he were not to be the favorite and lose the most percentages of his game, he can either recollect what he did wrong and train the heck out of himself, or he could "crash" and have this imbeded in his mind. Perfect example... Mika Immonen.

Ok, I believe it. Wow. I'd like to have been a fly on the wall when that decision was made and hear why it was made.

bet

i will be happy to post the $ and take the eurpoean team even. usa not putting the best 5 in the box.

My vote is for Charlie Will............................... Sorry, I couldn't even type that with a straight face. :):)

On the real......I'd love to see Stevie Moore.

Van Boening isn't on the list?

He was chosen today by Matchroom's 2nd and last pick. The vote begins on Matchroom's site on Moday 11/2 I believe for the 5th and final spot. So we all get to circlejerk for 3 days until then.

Let the posturing and campaigning begin!

Personally, my vote would go for Dennis Hatch. Maybe this would give him some motivation to get out and play more like he should. I was really disappointed to not see him at the US Open. Anyway, just my opinion.

I think Rodney Morris will make it on the Team.
Have been at the Mosconi Cup last year and watched him a bit during these days. He is a real Team Player and understands how to motivate and support his fellow Team mates. He was almost always on the spectator seats when one of Team USA played, others were less supportive. He has the right attitude to make a difference to the Team and therefor deserves another try to get the Cup back. (Which will not happen, but it will be much closer than last years result)

Who is going to be the Team Captain? Any rumors yet? Maybe The Pearl?

vote

i am going to vote for the HILLBILLY... the others on the list will get more votes than that hillbilly,,,he is a treat to watch and a heck of a player...i also think morris will win the vote a turely nice guy and jam up player.

I heard Johnny Archer say on a commentary that he would like Hatch on the team. That should count for something, surely.
I wonder why he didn't play at the US Open?
