I like Blue Diamond but only use it when someone leaves it behind on the table. It's too expensive. Masters has worked for me for many years.
Someone told me that chalk with the APA logo is made by Masters. Is this true?

Many years ago there was a Blue Chalk, call Balabushka, came in a Shiney Red Box, worked good but was very messy. Think it as some Silicone it it, as I said it worked well, but sure got on everything.
I like the Old Masters Green. I still have a nearly a full box with 140 pieces left.
At the Puyat Superbowl in Makati Cinema Square, they have half a box of the old pre flag masters green chalk. I tried to buy the remaining pieces, but they wouldn't sell it to me.
I also love the old green stuff!!

A friend of mine usta work for a beer distributer and they had this great chalk with the beer Rolling Rock on the label. It was a promotional thing.
We could never find out where it was made. I think it is very similar to blue diamond chalk. Better than Triangle which is my second choice.
My friend gave me a bunch of the Rolling Rock chalk and I still have some.
I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it !

I have to admit, I like Triangle Chalk. I was very surprised that I liked it after playing with BD for so long. It really holds to the tip. Can't beat the price. I try Silver Cup recently, oof, that stuff is awful. I will be throwing that in the garbage.

Blue Diamond is the best that I have used and I don't care what it costs. How much does a miscue cost? I don't have to worry about chalking everytime (although I do) and I can't remember the last time I miscued.
With Masters Chalk you could never go wrong- from the newer chalks imo the blue diamond is also usuable. I usualy use 1 piece of chalk very long- i cut it immediatley (if i feel good with a piece) in 3 pieces-

Both Master and Triangle are brands of chalk made by the Tweeten Fibre Company. The APA logo chalk is just Master chalk with the APA logo added to the paper wrap.
If I don't miscue, they are all good, most good players know which chalk works and which ones don't from experience. I've heard the older pieces of Master Chalk and the alike used a lead based coloring and this may have factored in to less miscueing. Miscues can be beneficial, why, because it's a powerful tell that something is wrong, with either your fundamentals, your tip or something else is going on/distracted??

I have been using pre flag just because I bought it, but Blue Diamond is hands down the best chalk made.

my buddy and az's own cyrex hooked me up with blue diamond chalk. imo it's a little better than blue masters chalk.
still though i ain't making no more balls because of it and it hasn't stopped me from dogging it yet......YET!
