My Mom died last night

Condolences.

My condolences. A prayer has been said. I lost my mother right before 2000, I remember the last look into her eyes. I will relish that moment for as long as I live. Be strong. :(
 
I am very sorry for your loss. Allow yourself to grieve. It helped me to think back about the happy times with her when my mom died. I hope that reading the posts of all those who expressed their condolences helps ease the pain a bit. I'm sure that your mom, just like mine, was always in your corner, no matter what. There's no replacing someone like that.

My condolances as well. At my mother's funeral a friend since chilhood came up to me. He placed his hand on my shoulder, and said: "Paul, it's always going to hurt. But in time, it will hurt less."

These words meant a lot to me. You see, this friend had lost his wife to cancer, leaving him with 2 young children to raise.

Perhaps we are given these times of sorrow in order to better appreciate the times of joy?

Robert, I lost mine last year, and I am still feeling the effects. Please take care, I sincerly wish you and your family well through these hard times.

We all know its going to happen someday but it is still unbelievably sad.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. A mom is like a best friend. Always there and always supportive without expecting much back. I'm sure you make her proud every day. Peace.
 
Robert, as you can see, you have a lot of friends on here. You are part of a tight knit community. Take care of yourself and remember all the good experiences you shared with your mother. Those are the best things to talk about right now. When we grieve, it's healthy to remember the good times we had with our loved ones.

I would love to hear your favorite story about her.
 
The loss of your Mom

Please accept my deepest heart felt sympathy for you and your family. It is a great loss I know. I'm sure you have lots of good memories to keep her living in your heart. I lost my mom 24 years ago. She was only 57. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her, and when I do, I am smiling.
 
Robert I don't know you - but as I sit here after reading your post and the other posters reaction to it- i can't help but reflect upon the outpouring of good will and attempts to console/comfort you.

While it might not help you so much right now (words sometimes just fall short) I hope you are able to read between the lines.

May God bless you and help you to deal with your loss. It seems there IS something that trancends all the bullsheet -
