Just had my table installed today. Nine foot Gold Crown I with ball return. Simonis 860. Black base with wood top rails. Beautiful table and plays great! I wanted to thank everyone for the help and opinions. I love the table and look forward to many happy years together. See pics below:

That table looks mint. You got a good deal there. Congrats and good luck with it. Johnnyt

hey

love that table.....I have had one since 1972, and dragged it all over the country with me. Good luck with it...tho you wont need any

Sweet!

Hey, what's the diff between I's, II's and III's? I'm real familiar with 3's, 4's and 5's but the 1's and 2's not much.

Beautiful. The trim/rails don't appear to have a scratch and the ashtrays don't even look like they've been used.

Enjoy!

You're set for life!!! Nice, but I agree with one of the posters...get some Centennials for that fine table.

Thanks everyone for the kind words about the table. I'm really happy with how it turned out. The table really is in impressive shape. I will need to clean it up a little more (metal needs some polishing and the rails could use some pledge), but all-in-all it looks great (and plays even better). Apparently, the ash trays are a desirable (and rare feature). My table has ash trays in all four corners (I've never seen this on a Gold Crown before). Now I get to focus on finishing the room with some spectator chairs and some paint on the walls (they look so bare). Thanks again for everyone's help and opinions.

if you want some decals , let me know .. This is on my GCII

Try using a wax on the rails. No abrasives in the wax, petroleum based carnuba or even cue wax. Carefull by the cloth, don't get wax on any part of the cloth. Then use a countertop polish. Pledge may leave too much residue.

Paul..........has tried many things on the rails
