Name the New Club and Win a Cue

1) "Ashtonbee Breakers"
Sports bar and billiards

2) "Pool Warden" (with a logo of a prison warden using a pool cue instead of a billy club)

Please note that it is more difficult to come up with a name that has local significance because it appears that the location is on the line between the North York, East York and Scarbourough districts of Toronto. If I knew what district is was in (per the locals) then I could run a demographic for that area and come up with some more names.

not sure if any of these were given yet...

The Frozen Rail
The Rack Shack
Sharp Shooters
The Bankers Club
The Gallery

Queens Country Club (QC club), Queens Billiards & Brew. The Toronto Playground. The Palace ( I know, but its a good one). Canadian Cue Club. Toronto Diamond Cue & Brew.

Couple more...

I thought "The Queen's Ring" would have been another good one, since the place included so many Diamond Tables, which I'm sure at least a few "Ring games" will be played on.

Maybe:
"The Queen's Que"
or
"TheRed & Needle" - (I'd use the Red Maple Leaf as a backdrop, or part of the logo)

Pocket Rattlers
Double Miscue
Suzy Cues
Mustang Sallys
Double Kiss

New Ones

Well, since my favorite, J. Dubs, didn't make the short list, how about these?

York Sports Bar

Fort Rouillé Bar & Billiards

Since you are by the Golden Mile...how 'bout...The Golden Cue Food & Pool
or, The Golden Horseshoe Sports Bar

Scarborough Sports Bar

The Green Room - use all green outside lighting - since the Centennial College color is green and my new favorite.

Thanks

The Grand Pool-Bah

Sounds better with a good NE accent.

The Ferrule Cat(or The Cat, for short) is still my favorite. :p

I would suggest against "Mosconi's". Calgary had a place called that for a while, it became Diesel Billiards when Willie's estate brought about legal action.

Actually if I was involved I would decide what type of bar I wanted to have... Beer, whiskey, Rum or Vodka.... I would tailor the drink menu to that choice and then I would approach my local distributor for deep discounts thru the manufacturers reps.... I would likely go vodka and do tons of martinis and other vodka drinks and I would approach Absolut first with a name of Absolute Billiards or Absolution.... If they would not play I'd think SKYY-High would be in play.... Bar patrons also buy bottles for home..One of your hooks is publishing your mixes for at home consumption. Use that angle and leverage the makers.... 15 years of negotiating with reps in other industries tells me this should be a hanger............

The Kickback

When I was young we used to "hang out" then kids "hooked up". I was just told by my Son that the current term for kids spending time together is "Kicking Back". You can tell most of the names suggested are from those of us over 50 years old. You need a current name if you want the college crowd.

Someone jokingly said Canuck Cue Club early in the thread.
I personally think Canadian Cue Club sounds great. Classic, classy, and you know it's a pool room
rather than a bar/club.

I submit Canadian Cue Club, the Canada Cue Club, or JW's Canadian Cue Club.

i'm still waiting on that CC & water...?

I didn't read all 26 pages, so I'm sorry if any of these are repeats...

Kay I will swing three times here:

The Dirty Duck Fart (it just sounds cozy) - or any variant thereof. People will just call it The Duck.

Jocks On The Hill - See? I can be lyrical! - This is likely the best I can do (you could even be bi-lingual and go with Jacques on the Hill - heh)

The Deadstroke Palace - a magnificent edifice should have a name to match

Well stick a fork in meh, Im done.

Good luck all.

PM me if I won the million dollars and tell Earl he has the 8.
